This confidence about beating Khan is BS. He is using the same "I don't need him" coward line that Mayweather uses for Pacquiao. It will be a travesty if Bradley gets a shot at Pacquiao. He has not beaten anyone to earn a shot like that and he has not been active. Avoiding loses should not put you in line for huge fights. Bradley style is not exciting at all. He just plods forward and throws looping shots. He would get destroyed by a skilled boxer with fast and devastating punches like Pacquiao. I do not want to see him fight at all. It won't even take someone on Pacquiao's level to beat Bradley. He is not an elite fighter and is one dimensional
When he had the problems, which were unsolvable, his contract date was just about due. He still owed Shaw a fight, but he wanted to get away from Shaw and keep the Khan fight for a Top Rank promotion which would pay him 2-3 times what a Shaw deal would, and he would have the satisfaction of knowing that Shaw wasn't making anything from it. Instead, all Shaw can claim is his share of the next fight, which is against Casamayor from which he will not get much. And from then on, he will be on big TV cards. Whether he ever fights Khan is not important to him, what is, is that he will be properly promoted and in the position to make bigh purses.
That was a very smart, good , easy decision to make. Why you don't understand this is also easy to know, considering the average IQ of the majority of posters here. Fortunately there are some who not only know boxing, but can discuss without obscenities and foulness. (I don't mean you)

I agree with Tim's decision. But to be honest, he needs to fight Khan in 2012. Khan is much younger and is getting better with every fight. Right now, Tim beats him. But in 2 or 3 more years, Khan will surpass Tim as a fighter. Khan has a mucher better trainer in Roach, and is getting much better sparring. With Khan's height and reach advantage over Tim, he gives him his hardest test at this stage, but Tim has what it takes to beat him at this point. 2 or 3 years from now, those same advantages, plus his maturity and skill level will be too much for Tim. So Tim would be wise to go after Manny in March or April, then go after Khan by September of next year. If not, a fight with Floyd would be more competitive for Tim than with Khan. Floyd is getting older and slower. Khan hasn't hit his prime yet.
