I say who cares?? too little too late and definitley not worthy of a ppv.whats that fight prove really??? that pac had to wait 4 years and move up 4 wtclasses before he could rubber match an almost 40 yr old albeit great lightweight whom out- landed him two fights in a row??? its just more of the same for manny , its definitley a better fight than pacs last 5 but its not a fight that really matters or that will enhance either guys legacey nor does it erase the fact that manny and fighters like him the top stars are too reluctant to give us the fights we really want to see.pac may ko jmm but dominate him I dont see that unless jmm has really slowed down just another cheap fight for pac.pacs greatest asset is still speed and power, he hasnt been able to out think jmm in 24rounds wont do it now pac is still very susceptible to guys who can box as mosley proved.,if pac kos jmm or even wins will be because hes a very hard puncher and just hold too many advantages at this point in time.nobody prefers this fight over a mayweather fight or a martinez fight only manny and his team do for very obvious reasons......again cheap fight and cheap win too little too late.but better than his last 5 which is just sad....if your a fight fan, if your a pacfan its buisness as usual.

Way after the Margarito fight, Roach said 150 for Martinez without anyone even mentioning him. Then he went on to diss him by saying "He's a good biker. Not a good Boxer" for no reason.

First of all Martinez went on record saying he was killing himself to make the welter weight limit and said that is why he lost to Margirito,2ndly, Pacquiao said he would be moving back down to welter weight to stay because he couldnt even make it to the 150lbs catch weight with Margirito(in fact on fight night Pacquiao weighed in at 148lbs) so this whole discussion is silly.Martinez cannot make 147 and Pacquiao cannot make it up to 154lbs.

When did he ever say that?

          • You guys need to stop hating on Pacquiao's selection of opponents[yes, his selection, not Bob Arum]. The dude became an ATG by beating up one style of opponent and that's the come forward/defenseless style AKA "a fighter who comes to fight". If that's who he wants to keep fighting and never step up to fight different styles, then so be it, his fans are happy for what he has done for the sport and that's what matters. Getting him to fight Bradley is already gonna be a mission, but that's the only non-come forward fighter I see him realistically fighting.

He never fought/never will fight the Raheems, Guzmans, Mayweathers, Martinez of the world cause he has a cap on what style he can beat/look good against and these guys don't fit that description, out of those three he coulda probably beaten Raheem but still he chose the loser of Raheem-Morales, something we still see him doing even now, choosing the loser of a fight.

Once Pacquiao haters understand this and just take Pacquiao for what he is, then it'll be easier to love him and enjoy his fights. Stop asking so much from some one when you know they have a limit. Every one has a limit.

To be fair Marquez is not a come forward opponent. However, the rest of your post is funny but true.

Oh, believe me I am aware of that. Marquez is by no means a come forward fighter. Very technical. Little defense but very technical. Hence why Pacquiao couldn't beat him up even after 3 knockdowns. If Marquez never adjusted and just kept coming forward, Pacquiao would have blasted him. And there woulda been no second fight, let alone a third one.

I forget witch interview he said it at,it was a long while back when they first starting about a Pacquiao or Floyd match up against Martinez,(they also mentioned if he would be willing to rematch Margirito and Martinez basically said there wouldn't be anydraw for that fight and he was killing himself back then to make welter weight

                  • I don't know why people insist of having this match-up. Even Floyd-Martinez is a freak show fight. The guy is big and both Pac/Floyd are small welterweights.
