VK is finished & Brewsters confidence is probably higher than it ever has been. Brewster knows he can take what VK throws at him & he also knows he has the ability to stop him. Brewster is technically much better than Peter & has almost as much power. There's a reason VK hasn't asked for a rematch with Brewster & that's because he's not as confident that he can beat him as his fans are on this board.

Buster Douglas wasn't a bum. However, he was just a huge underachiever.

He knew how to throw sharp, quick, straight punches. He had good technique. Long, sharp jab. He was good, he just underachieved and he fought out of his skin against Tyson.

Brewster deserves credit for the win against Wlad. So many excuses still?

Brewster is gaining confidence and getting better with each fight. I think while everyone seems to discount him, Brewster might indeed be the best Heavyweight out there.

Time will tell, but I would definitely have Lamon the favorite in a rematch v Wlad.

Buster was a tremendous talent. He had everything but commitment to his craft. For one night he put it all together and was motivated. The rest of his career was disapointing..before and after Tyson.

I think this article has been produced in light of Wlad's win over Peter. Now people are trying to make excuses and find some reason as to why Wlad lost. Never mind Brewster knocked him out, according to the Wlad nut huggers there has to be something wrong for Brewster to win.
Its plain to me though. I hve seen the fight many times and i can tell you Brewster won, Wlad lost. Wlad may have punched himself out but thats because Brewster refused to be knocked out. Wlad lost heart when he threw his best stuff and Brewster kept coming after him. I think he mentally gave up because he had tried his best and it hadn't worked. Thats the big deal. Not dodgy trainers, Don King nor illness. Wlad didn't like Brewster standing up for himself, and Wlad expressed this by the result of the fight!

What fight were you watching? Wlad was winning the fight easily. I'm sure he didn't give up just because he didn't knock Brewster out in the early rounds. He was winning. I give Brewster credit for having the heart and chin to survive in the fight, but there's many, many heavyweights who could have won against wlad that night, given his state.

I totally agree. He was game that night for sure. It's sad he couldn't put it all together, along with Ike they were both big talents but personal problems held them back.
