The Mayweathers started the rumor. They are pretending that their boy chicken Floyd is out looking for a good fight while docking the great Manny Pacquiao. If Floyd will be fighting somebody else other than Pacman, then it will be just another comedy show.His last fight proved it all. That is the main reason why only few people spent money on PPV. A very reliable source stated that the PPV sold for the Mayweather/Ortiz fight was at a mere 500K buys. That is a record low for a well hyped fight.

Sergio has been talking about negotiating with Floyd for weeks...he been talking about it on the radio, on twitter, in interviews...and the star power ppv sold 1.1mil..since Richard said it would sell 1.7, Mayweather is embarrassed to admit it sold 1.1...learn about the game of boxing!

Unfortunately for Sergio he will never fight PAC of Floyd. He will get lucky if he lands JCC Jr., Cotto, Margacheato, or Sturm. All 6 of those opponents won't face him next. I expect Pirog, Gaele, Macklin or Lee to be his next fight. As much as I like Dibella he is stuck since Bob knows that Maravilla would Ktfo of any of his fighters and he is to big a risk for the Cash cows. Going to Europe and beating a top Euro isn't that bad especially if they are paying him half of Klitchko bucks.

the rumor came from sergio himself. it still maybe some truth to it like how everyone denied floyd/ortiz were fighting then all of a sudden the fight was made but who knows

Yup... Just like when Victor Ortiz said he had a contract, then it was disputed, then the fight got made. Just like when Khan goes on TV and says Mayweather agreed to fight him, then pretended like he never said it like a day later. Lol
