Yet they still become gassed at the end of 4 rounds.

No, their legs are just comically small. Boxing is the only modern sport that is so behind in training and nutrition and it has always bothered me to no end.

Most boxers clearly lack lower body strength and punching is a complex movement which involves the lower body, core, and upper body. So if the legs are as incredibly under developed as they are for most boxers serious power will be lost in the movement.

**** off pussy. The times are changing old school boxing is just that... old school. Running 7 miles then eating a steak dinner isnt the routine of a champion anymore. We are smarter then that.

            Educate yourself:

Running 7 miles at a jog is an aerobic exercise. Throwing a flurry in boxing is anaerobic. By only running for conditioning it is not gonna effectively prepare you for a fight.

            you're right

i wish for nothing other than for you to remember peasants like us when you are on the top of the game with a stable of big legged fighters using their huge muscles in an anaerobic sport like boxing (which, is a quality in it that YOU discovered)

let me carry your gym bag, please.

sigh, I forgot how ignorant people were on this site...

What I'm trying to say is punching isnt just an upper body movement it is a full body movement. The power from the punch starts from the ground then travels up and ends through the fist (kinetic linking). If the lower body especially the butt is weak alot of power will be lost in the movement.

But sorry for questioning the sacred training secrets of old boxing trainers.

First of all you don't need to run more than 4-6 miles = 8kms. Secondly running is for stamina =85%. rest do build some leg strength muscles. Third boxers' legs made of Steal, with all their training. You call me *****? im on side of you train and run 5 miles every morning, and would never ask such a dumb question. nutrition and what? lol therefore you look for good gyms, coaches etc. And everyone have different genes. My legs are tiny as well..but get a kick from me, and regular person won't have a chance.

your links about Rocky told me nothing. think with your head and come up with something smart.

Honestly. I think it's to make weight.

No 5'10" guy should really be 154lbs. Same as a person Nonito's height should not be 118lbs. Jonathan Horton is 125lbs and that's at 5'1". He's an olympic gymnast if no one knew.

So I honestly believe it's to make weight. Even guys like Kessler have twig legs. Legs can hold a lot of weight, quads are one of the biggest muscle groups on the body. So that must be the reason.
