One judge had Hopkins winning.

No way did he win that fight...getting ready for this fight I watched that fight over and over and, man, NO WAY did Hops win that fight...Hopkins looked TERRIBLE in that fight...to be completely truthful, watching him in that figth gave me more confidence than anything else...1- a knockdown only counts for one point...2, landed the cleaner punches? Less damage on his face? What does THAT mean? Chavez had less facial damage than Taylor, too...meant nothing in regards to how the fight played out...Hopkins looked terrible against Calzaghe and at times looked ANCIENT...Hops has had some close fights in both directions but for me that was NOT one of them, not at all...

No...I dont admit it because I dont believe it to be so...and, AGAIN, B-Hops did several illegal tactics moments earlier...lucky for us he wasnt able to inflict the intended damage...
Yes, Hopkins always does illegal stuff, but it's only illegal if they catch it.

If Dawson can get away with stuff that isn't seen by the Rule Enforcer (The Ref), more power to him. There is a difference between Holyfield being clever and using his Head and elbows here and there, without being caught. And Mike Tyson blatantly biting his ear, and taking a chunk out of it for EVERYONE INCLUDING THE REF to see.

Just an example. Not that I'm equating biting someones ear to pushing your opponent off and him getting injured.

Well I disagree. As I already said, Joe fights like a ***** punching his way out of spider webs. A post ago, you talked about how Punch stats don't matter in only 2 rounds, and how your guy was landing the more meaningful punches.

Well in Joe Calzaghe's case, all I saw ALL NIGHT LONG WAS THIS:

For that, he gets points taken off in my biased view, based on lack of EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION. And Hopkins getting tired and taking a break doesn't effect that point of view. Joe wasn't being Margarito in there, landing brutal shots that chopped Hopkins down, like Tony did to Miguel Cotto.

It's good that you kept those bookmarked, to flash them in any sign of a debate about the fight. Why aren't the names of the voters shown?

I'm sure some overzealous Calzaghe fan/Hopkins hater didn't make alts and vote multiple times. Nah that couldn't have possibly happened.

The Racket Squad: The Age Of Rage

Possibly Dawson thinks that sounding like Mayweather will earn him Floyd type dollars.
No way.
His stock declines with each childish comment that he utters.

The light heavyweight Championship of the World was taken from it's true owner and given to a man who commited a foul to achieve it. It was not earned. Period.
That should make fans furious. But alas, this is a new world of corruption and acceptance we dance through.
If you think B-Hop faked that fall, that is your right.
But we will NEVER know what might have been.
On that same night, Antonio DeMarco taught us that very fact.

There was a gift to sportsmen called Boxing and once upon a time it was a thrilling realm of ultimate truths and desires that meant something very special to very special and determined people.
It is no longer the Ring of Dreams I once embraced.

I am serious. There is an option when someone creates a poll.

You can make the votes public, so we all can see who voted for who. None of the polls you cited had that.

Someone could've voted 10 times to get his guy over the top and then some. And being around here for as long as I have been, Calzaghe fans are some of the most overzealous fans, trying to validate their guy as this ALL-TIME great fighter, that Americans ducked all those years while he was fighting WBO appointed Journeymen in Wales.

No, it was a foul because he picked him up off the ground and threw him.
