You don't have to be chest to chest or shoulder to shoulder to brawl.

the term "in fighting" simply denotes the range that the trading is taking place at; "brawling" is for when fights get violent and defense goes out the window, regardless of range (although it usually does take place on the inside.)

          Corrales-Castillo was not in-fighting? WTF?

That was one of the best displays of in-fighting. Both of them really knew how to in-fight, which is kind of a lost art nowadays.

Look at the way they position themselves on the inside, putting themselves in the right place to get angles on their shots. They were very effective up close with short punches. Love that right hook to the body, left hook to the body, left hook upstairs combination on the inside that Corrales threw.

A brawler is nothin' but a wild puncher, w/ no regards for defense.
