this fight is a way to do it. make the ish happen.

I"m taking bets, I got pirog if it happens.
Will do, I believe Pirog is the bigger bum of the two.

am i missing something??? when was it that pirog became this p4p powerhouse where his team is allowed to talk **** like this? he hasnt earned that type of hype or that type of power. hes a contener in a weak division with like 5 other contenders who have the same claim to the #2 spot as he does. fight lara or someone else credible. stop this talk of martinez ducking him, it makse no sense. martines has fought a number of fighters better ranked and more feared than pirog.

I think what the promoter said was pretty reasonable, if Lara is willing to take smaller money then they will fight him. Lara, as such, a contender from a lower division, but he is not a title holder, not a draw and and he still has lost his last fight. Last time I checked you need to beat some top 10 guys before you can challenge for a title. So Lara can only hope that either HBO/Showtime picks the fight or he goes for a couple of hundred grand to go fight Pirog.
Need I remind everyone here that Pirog himself fought for 50 grand for the title he is holding?

Forget the official scoring. Everybody knows who won. Even the judges were suspended. When it comes down to it, Lara beat a higher ranked middleweight than even Pirog himself. Lara also fought in the main event of an HBO fight. If anything, Lara has more negotiating power than Pirog. It should be a 50/50 split even if takes place in Russia.

                Unless you are sarcastic then

Uhmmmm.....No, thats not how life works. Lara's perceived win over Williams is just that...perceived. But one of the main belts is still a main belt, Lara is still coming off a lose and at most is an optional defense.
Now, before you come raging, I did not call Lara a bad fighter, I think he is good, but he needs to earn his chops on paper, not just in a small community of boxing fans and if so many people are indeed looking for that guy to fight again on HBO will pick it up and there should be enough money for everyone.
Still it is Lara who is the proverbial beggar and it is Pirog who is the chooser.
The situation is obviously reversed when it comes to Pirog vs Martinez.

                  I got the impression:

They said if he wants to fight for the money of the other two, then it can happen.

He wants to fight him on HBO in America, because otherwise they have to offer him a fight in Russia for no money. They have that money to offer Martinez because people would actually pony it up, whereas they wouldn't for Pirog to fight Lara. Would Lara take that?

I liked everything I just read, on every topic.

Even in Russia? You're a damn joke.

The demand for Pirog and Martinez is higher than Lara and anyone.
