OOOOOR if you read correctly, theres no way a fight could be made between these 2 without HBO or showtime because they both wont receive the money they believe they'd be obliged to receive

Its not Pirogs job to put up money for a fight, its both promoters jobs to come up with the money together

Lara vs Pirog is a nice fight. Hopefully HBO will put up decent money for it, but I doubt it, hence the problem. Unless Lara is willing to go to Russia for very small money and not be on HBO/Showtime (maybe he is, I wouldn't if I were him) then it's understandable.

There's a ton of demand for Lara in the US after he destroyed Williams. I could definitely see HBO or Showtime taking the fight. Probably even more likely than Gaele.

oh man, hbo better pick this fight up. getting pirog/lara here in the states would build some serious demand into the winner fighting martinez. hopefully both sides are up for the money hbo offers them.
