anyone really impressed by jorge linares skills?

he threw a sht load and got hit virtually with nothing till the 6th

slicker than mayweather, with ill combo's to boot

only thing that bothers me is his power, he should sacrifice some speed for power, it scores better with the judges

also the hbo crew suck, one minute they are sucking linares ****, the next(when he gets cut) demarco was apperently landing the better and cleaner shots all through the fight(i didn't see anything hit, let alone clean) im starting to see it, was suprised by steward, i changed over to boxnation and the commentators were much better

Was very impressed but it's not how you start, it's how you finish!

Kid has serious skills but is lacking something, now he's been KO'd twice when stepping up in comp, and if he can't beat demarco I wouldn't give him a shot in hell against a bull like rios. It seemed to me that Freddie Roach may not be the best trainer for him, dude is a natural counter puncher who can throw some serious combos going backwards, but Roach seemed to want him to be a more aggressive come forward type which didn't serve him well in the late rounds. With a big lead and 2 bad cuts he should've been moving more letting demarco chase him around and counter him when he was coming in, it's just ****** to get into exchanges with a dude that is that much more heavy handed when he had a big lead and a busted up face...

I was more than impressed... What got me was his speed though. He should seriously be in the speed discussion, probably the fastest in the sport right now. Some of his punches were absolute blurs.

I would say he's not smart enough.

He could be like MAB or Marquez if he had the brain and ring smarts to pick his battles.

This sort of happened to MAB when he got KO'd early in his career.

Not sure if Linares can recover from this though.

His style is more like the latin snake, I even saw him go into Calzaghe mode and pitty pat Demarco a couple of rounds. He has crappy defense and his style is not built for his power. Not impressed at all

Still not sure why him or GBP didn't just postpone the fight after he suffered the cut in sparring.

they underestimated demarco big time and thought jorge would take him apart but it didnt happen

i dont think linares will ever recover from this one
