    The Racket Squad: Foul Balls

The Pat Russell decision will certainly be reversed.
It is contrary to the California boxing code and it's criteria pertaining to fouls. This was an illegal determination by a once sharp ref who dropped the ball badly.
Dawson showed nothing in the five and one half minutes of non action that existed and B-Hop was just beginning to author a tempo that would cook for him.
As far as a Doctors perception of his injury, I will conclude on the side of honesty regarding this one. The man was hurt. I have no doubt that Bernard would evade any exit strategy at any cost so early in a contest.

And so the cycle may revert to the beginning.
Dawson will lose a decison to Pascal in Canada and then Bernard will defend his title against Jean to complete their trilogy.
I do not see another Hopkins PPV in the future and Dawson's rep is damaged along with his attitude. I for one, will not pay to see Chad Dawson.
He defended his evident indescretion with Mayweather style accuracy.
Last night illustrated perceptions regarding each combatant that will linger.

If anyone thinks that Hopkins will go anywhere near a ring that Dawson is in,
you're sadly mistaken. The fact is, Hopkins was badly outclasses and was in
for a terrific beating. He found an out and took it. It gives him a perfect excuse to retire: "...the bloody whites stole my title...I'll never fight for
        their entertainment agains!"

Let the hateful sap take his millions and his big mouth and disappear.

Of course neither promoter wants a rematch. They probably lost money on this fight, why would they want to lose more.

I didn't see anything in Dawson. No desire, no fire, nothing.

At least Pascal tried to go rough on B-Hop at the opening bell in the first fight and somewhat in the 2nd. I even gave the first round to Hopkins and we all know that at this stage and age, he'll usually start being behind on the scorecards.

Dawson has a lot of talent but it feels like he's too satisfied with himself and fails to set higher goals. Changing trainers regularly will not do him any good. He's his own worst enemy.

                  this x10000000000

hopkins clearly JUMPED on chads back after missing with a punch (he was not off balanced, he blantantly JUMPED on dawson's back in hope for this outcome[minus the tko loss, which i am in great favor of])

I strongly disagree because Pat Russell made a judgement call. According to the (ABC) rules, if a boxer injures himself while attempting to intentionally foul his opponent, then no action would be taken in his favor and the injury would be treated the same as if it was from a legal blow. Therefore, the TKO was the right call to make under the circumstances. Hopkins injury came about, by his intentionally attempting to hold and lay down on Dawson's neck, in which he was subsequently tossed to the canvass. This is why Hopkins wasn't given the normal five minutes to recover from the injury; because in the referees eyes, it didn't come from what he perceived was a foul.

Hopkins suffered a left shoulder injury after being pushed off from a clinch, which sent him down near the ropes.

It's not uncharacteristic to have Bernard Hopkins get things HIS way. That said, I don't think he could care less about what people say or think about him. To him, we're just fans in the end who pay him because we appreciate him as a fighter.

However, if Hopkins has the power to get a rematch and is electing not to do so, I think that was his last window of opportunity to not fight Dawson and he took it when he fell on the canvas.

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch AS LONG AS IT'S NOT ON PPV.

It's really, really sad that Hopkins had to go out this way if this is the last fight of his career.
