It was a serious let down of a fight, I for one was looking forward to it. The way I see it, Hopkins was fouling Dawson and Dawson was basically getting him off his back. We’ve seen this happen countless times, whether Hopkins was faking or not, we’ve seen it before. Also, Hopkins claims he wanted to carry on, I was watching in the UK (BoxNation) and when the ref asked him if he wanted to fight on, all he said was something along the lines of “what, with one arm?”. Bottom line, Dawson was being fouled before the incident. I wouldn’t be surprised if the decision stays.

It's disappointing we'll never see this fight. By the way Dawson was fighting the first round and his facial expression, it just looked like he was really focused for the fight. It would have been interesting to see if Hopkins would have pressured him like he pressured Pascal.
