I think it all boils down to the fact that if Hopkins did want to continue like he has confirmed then why on Earth was he on the floor for such a long period of time?

What he should have done was stand up pretty much immediatly and show he was absolutely prepared to continue.

So, although it was a bad decision by the Referee, Hopkins simply does have some of the blame for this.

i don't think he was hurt. i think he wanted to drag on the fake injury for a few minutes, foul dawson back punching long well after the bell, then magically his injury disappears the next round. ref just didn't give bhop the chance to carry out the whole plan.
