B-Hop was moving backwards and moving around...OF COURSE he probably didn't land many punches in that short period of time

B-Hop challenged him to fight and then he was the one going backwards, most thought it was going to be Dawson going backwards

    • CA Commission Reversal

Since this happened in CA. there is a likely chance this horrible decision bt an incompetent ref will be reversed. If it was anywhere else like Nevada or NY, those commissions do not like to admit mistakes, but CA will rectify mistakes when they have to. For ex. the Bradley vs Cambell fight and the Toney vs Rahman fight. Now if they reversed the Toney vs. Rahman fight when it was obvious Rahman could continue then this decision will be overturned.

The commission has several errors made by the ref to consider.
      1. Dawson clearly lifted Hopkins up and threw him down which is an obvious foul, but the ref did not rule it as one.
      2. The ref never told Hopkins if he did not continue then he would lose the fight by TKO.
      3. The ref never called in the dr. to get his advice on Hopkins injury.

If B-Hop fell on his own with zero help from Chad I get that, but Chad was involved.
And you really arent supposed to clinch either. If two people do something illegal, the other guy should get away with it just because he got hurt, even if he did it first? thats bs.

not to mention Chad barely did anything at all. If you watch the replay literally Hopkins is off his own feet before Dawson even does anything. All Dawson did is push forward a little a lean his shoulder downward. A mean, damn. Thats like nothing, thats how you get out of a clinch. Ive seen it happen numerous times before.

You obviously don't know jack **** about boxing. You don't have to be a fan of Hopkin, but to not recognize his profound abilities is basically the epitome of boxing ignorance. And I think many boxing fans would strongly disagree with your characterization of Hopkins as a boring fighter. But then, you've probably only seen his last 4 or so fights, which to me weren't boring at all, but he obviously does pace himself more than he did in his younger days. Even so, how was exactly was his fight against Pavlik a boring fight (to take a recent example)?

Yeah, it was like Cintron saying he wanted to continue against Paul Williams. Wait a second, isn't Cintron from Philly as well?

Wow, maybe this diving onto the canvas is a Philly thing.

And who is going to pay for a rematch when a fight ended so disappointingly?

I would rather pay 49.95 to see a rematch between Linares and De Marco.
Max Kellerman did say that his shoulder appeared to be raised...also Hopkins told the ref that he was willing to continue

              • Can't blame B-Hop for this one guys(and I can't stand him). The ironic thing for me is, I've been dissapointed with Dawson but found myself rooting for him in this fight.

But, what Dawson did was clearly illegal. A) he got down real low past the belt line b) You ain't suppose to be using your shoulders to bump your opponent and c) You simply cannot pick up your opponent off the ground and throw him down.

Dawson commited 3 separate fouls in a span of milliseconds.

Boxing is doomed, I tell ya. The last 2 PPVs(GBP promoted) us fans have been treated to WW* like matches.

                • Well I'm glad to see Garcia-Holt and DeMarco-Linares cost me over $25 each.
