Alvarez needs to step up next year, despite his young age he has had almost 40 fights and is a world champion, it is about time he faced world class opponents and genuine title contenders and other world champions.

You see. I didn't know that. That's why I always mentioned "to my knowledge" in each of my posts. I didn't know. But no one said "hey this guy said he wanted to" this whole time. Until you posted.

Cotto never replied to Saul's comments. Martinez, he has blinders on. Pursuing a fight that he won't get unless he cuts to a catchweight 150 or moves to WW.

So you blame the ref for stopping the fight... because, obviously, Canelo controls the ref. He was using his mind control to get the ref to step in as a last desparate attempt to win a fight he was winning for every second of every round.

Or, a better way of putting it...

LOL. OK. I thought the fight was stopped prematurely. ok?

Lara thinks that Alvarez is over protected and that GBP will not let Canelo fight him.

Canello will bring in the big bucks, not on a Pacquiao or Mayweather level but will be Martinez biggest pay day.

Someone else without a doubt. When Canelo fought Hatton and Gomez, I was pissed because they truly didn't bring shit to the table. I'm just saying if the fight was to be made I wouldn't be mad.

And who is at 154? Cotto? Bundrage? Trout? Funny how all these other "established champs" haven't faced other legitimate threats and no one gives them shit about it but when Canelo does it... he's a hypejob.

One thing I can say about GBP is they don't protect their fighters. They throw their fighters into the fire often. Victor could have been protected till he moved to 147 or got a ******ed amount of followers. Yet they threw him to the wolves early; ending up losing to a power punching hardened veteran in Maidana.

Canelo should take that fight then. It's better than Cintron and Winky. Lara should get in contact with Oscar. Forget Canelo's camp. Talk to Oscar instead.

from what i remember reading, guys like kirkland, dzinziruk, and trout turned down offers to fight lara on that angulo/kirkland card that's happening. wouldn't expect alvarez's camp to take it since they're focused on continuing to build him up properly, but man would that be a good fight. hopefully lara is able to score a fight with someone big soon, like martirosyan or k9, that'd be good for him.

canelo could step up the comp and fight angulo, lara, vanes, p.williams

or he could keep on milking his name value with soft touches

canelo is young so he shouldnt be getting to much grief for not stepping up on comp but that all that changed when he basically got a title belt handed to him

its easier to get soft touches when you are a titlist but more is expected of you

                    canelo isnt meeting those expectations

and for you canelo fanboys who keep up bringing up the fact that he knockout baldo

by the time baldo fought canelo he was looking hella chinny against scrubs that baldo had just fought leading into the fight with canelo

the baldo that canelo fought is not the same baldo that took every hard punch vernon forest threw at him

I don't see any of those fighters getting the same hype as Canelo. That just might have something to do with it.
