If it happens @ 154 - THAT IS NOT A CATCHWEIGHT
What does 154 being a division have anything to do with whether its a catch weight or not? We're talking about weight, not divisions. I mean I could understand if one of them fought at JMW recently but they haven't. 154 is barely any different than 153 and 155. And yes, Pacquiao-DLH was a catchweight. Pac's last fight was at 135, and DLH's was at 154. Pac NEVER fought at WW, DLH hadn't in YEARS and it wasn't a title fight. Therefore, it was a catchweight. 147 being the WW limit doesn't change that. They MET at that weight class to fight with no title. And the fact that DLH struggled so much to get down there only supports my claim even more.

A catch weight is a limit that two fighters in different classes meet at to fight evenly. If Nonito Donaire and Wladimir Klitschko were to meet up at 175 it would still be a catch weight, whether 175 is LHW or not. Neither one fights at that division. ****ty example I know, but the point still stands lol

Did you even read that post? I said 154 IS legit and 150 isn't. I was responding to the ******ed reply from yesir.

I swear I need to start putting a "I think Mayweather is awesome" sign on my posts so people don't think everything I say is a shot at him. I respect Floyd 100% for taking this fight and I think it might even be more challenging than Manny, BUT 150 is a crappy catch weight. That's all I'm saying. Making a guy move down 10lbs is just ridiculous.

Mayweather is supposed to beat an old version of Sergio who got troubled by an okay fighter. Floyd saw what most saw that night and surprise he's fighting him lol.

I know everyone cares more about the Mayweather fight, but I think Sergio starting his own promotional company is also pretty damn awesome. He also said something about opening up his own gym.

154 would be the fairest weight for both sides. Even if the weight is 150 or 152, Martinez will probabkt hydrate back up to 165 or so by fight night, whereas Floyd will probably come in around 150 or so. So yes, Mayweather would have the prefight advantage with weight, but Martinez would be much bigger than Floyd entering the ring.

Bottom Line: This is a big fight and shows once again, Floyd is going to fight the best...as long as they take the tests. We all know Manny won't take the tests, and we know Arum isnt going to let Manny get exposed in the ring and let millions of dollars blow away in the wind, not to mention Manny's political career.

Floyd can make 154 easily, they should fight there.

154 would be a perfect weight to fight at. I don't know how much I believe Martinez though. I feel like Mayweather may be planning on taking a long vacation again.
