Do you know who Gary Russell is?

Ok, if you do you'll know that he is a tremendous talent in the feather weight division. This guy has boxing skill and technique coming out of his ears. He's probably more skillfull than all the featherweights in the division.

Does this mean that Gary Russell should fight Gamboa for the feather weight title and become king of that divison?

The answer is no. Because for all the skill the man has he still unaccomplished. Maybe he will one day destroy everyone at 126, but right now he has to fight the fights. Just like Pirog. He's skillfull as hell but who has he fought?
I'd love to see Russell vs Gamboa....

But problem again is that the Middleweight Division is a ghost town compared to Featherweight. The most intruiging fight is Sergio vs Pirog. You've said as much yourself.

I am posting this again. Can you see where I am coming from? It's pretty clear...

I am not against Sergio fighting Pirog in the US or in Russia for that matter if the price is right. People have things all twisted on here.

All I am saying is that I believe that Pirog is an unproven fighter with great skills, but not popular enough or accompished enought for some people in this forum to exaggerate his stance in boxing.

It's not a must see fight, and it's not a fight that HAS to happen. It's simply another fight like a fight with Macklin, or Lee, or whomever

Wrong, that offer is still on the table. IF and when Martinez refuses both offers, then you have a case. They are STILL negotiating at least one of the offers. Next time I charge you for the information.

                I can't help you, son.

If you're too dumb to realize that a couple of thousand dollars is not worth going to Russia, I don't know what to tell you. You're either very young or you ate paint chips as a kid.

Great post. This is exactly what I been trying to say. I've tried using David Lemieux before, but I think Garry Russel might be a better example.

Learn to read ****** ****. I said Martinez calls the shots, not the unknown Pirog. He does NOT have to fight in Russia. Only IF Martinez refuses both offers does he look bad and they are still negotiating at this point.
