Arent negotiating???? Are people that ******!!!!DeBella threw a price out there - that is called negotiating! WAIT to see what happens in the next phase and then cry all you want if Martinez turns all offers down and then HE will look bad. If Martinez turns down everything then hell yes, everyone should complain. Not there yet!
And there has been no offer to fight in the US. DiBella has no interest in making the fight right now.Comment

It's not like he's going to a country that has a history of questionable decisions like Germany. I don't know any questionable decisions coming from Russia.
And, wasn't he willing to go to Germany for Sturm? I might be highly mistaken though. I might be wrong in that one.
Anyways, if a fighter can't/won't/refuse to travel. Then lets not call anyone world champions anymore. Lets call them domestic champions...That's all they're now. There was a time in boxing where a World champion would fight all over the World...Now they just want to be domestic. So no need to call them world champions any longer.
And, what sucks is that Pirog is also willing to fight him in the U.S. When Pirog called him out for a U.S fight. Team Martinez said "fuck Pirog." So no matter where the fight is. Pirog has no chance in getting in the ring with Martinez. That's all there is to it.
As far as countries who have given hometown decision...
Lets start counting. US, England, P.R., Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan, Spain, South Africa, Colombia, Nicaragua, hold on I am getting tired.
Pretty much every country that has hosted a championship has had many hometown decisions.Comment

What do you expect Dibella to say. "Yeah, Sergio, you're going to get paid a couple a hundred grand more to fight in Russia. You'll probably have to knock the guy out because you won't win a decision. It's a great deal."
Dibella is doing the right thing by his figher.Comment

For 4-5 million Sergio will pack his bags and fight Pirog in Russia. Dibella is looking out for his fighter.

Your logic makes no sense. Can you name me one championship fight that has occured in Russia? How can you get an example of something if it doesn't exist.

And it's really a good deal, for 4-5 million Sergio gets paid, and for that amount of money Pirog and his people will have home country advantage that will benefit Pirog if it goes to a decision.
Everyone would be happy with this deal. But for 2 1/2 million, Sergio will not fight in Russia. And that's porbably a good mvoe for him.Comment

You're probably right. Dibella would probably want Macklin or Lee on the east coast. But if these Russians can come up with 4-5 million, Sergio and his team are on a plane.
