WHy do manny fans used the word "obsessed"? It seems whenever manny comes up short when objective criteria is used they have to label floyd fans in a negative way.

Floyd fans have used ppv sales as an objective measure of which fighter is the larger draw. Live gates have also been used in this discussion. If you don't see the merits than don't reply in the post. Simple as that.

Ppl should be more concern about the content of these PPVs rather than the number itself. If the content is good, the number usually will deliver itself. Two of the supposedly biggest stars in relatively uninspiring performances: one's footwork didn't look so hot against an aging fighter while the other sucker punched his opponent AND got smack down by the interviewee. I mean Merchant's quote is probably more memorable than the fight itself. Content muthafcka is what you should be concern about. Seriously, Pac and May fight ain't gonna fight PERIOD. Time to move on.

Im a fan of boxing, and I have no favorite boxer. I appreciate and respect them all. But correct me if I am wrong, Mayweather was really the only fighter I know that is obsessed with PPV #'s. Mayweather direct quote " Men lie, women lie, numbers dont " with that being said I believe with Mayweather being one of the faces of boxing, boxing fans and people in general run with it. It only has a impact in the business aspect of negotiating split and determines which fighter is in the driver seat.

What i don’t understand is why you are all so obsessed with who gets the most PPV subscribers?! I mean, really, why?

I don’t care one bit if Mayweather has 850K, 8.5M or just 8 people buying his fights, i don’t care at all. I’ll still watch him. You’ll still watch him. What does it matter?

It’s like it’s a badge of honour for some of you on here in this never ending battle between rival fans.

Oooo Floyd did XXXXX PVV and Manny only managed XXXX PPV, therefore Floyd is better etc.

            Yawn.

Isn’t chat like that more suited to the playground, and more suited to the game of conkers rather than boxing

Can i have a sensible answer please, I’m sure there must be one.
It depends on their agenda dude... basically no one cares about it with the exception of Floyd and Pac fans... they feel like competing... being nutthuggers is hard work and dedication... these dudes go at it...

You see it now with Ortiz and you will see it in November with Marquez...

It's always the same... after Floyd fought all the Pac fans make threads about how low the ppv sales are... after number gets out the following will hapen: either it is good then the Pac fans will say: well, who cares about ppv numbers and Floyd fans will make celebration threads about the numbers or the numbers are bad then Pacquiao fans will share their wisdom on how deserving it is and that Mayweather simply has no fanbase...

Same thing will happen in November... don't worry about it :-)

for all the idiots that keep posting..."WELL FLOYD STARTED THIS AND THAT"

UH...it is a huge difference, Floyd can brag about PPV #'s because he gets paid % off of those PPV #'s...YOU FANS DON'T! So yeah FLOYD HIMSELF CAN BRAG AND BRING UP PPV #'s all he want...because unlike yall...HE IS ACTUALLY GETTING PAID FROM THOSE NUMBERS...YOU DON'T!

WTF do you get out of Manny Pacquiao #'s being better then Mayweather #'s and Vice Versa ...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but what? Bragging Rights on a Boxing Forum LOL

We only care about Floyd and Manny because Floyd claim to be the PPV king and Manny is his counterpart.

Anyway I think you're just doodoo because if Floyd did 5millions PPV you would be bragging left and right about it.
