Haye ducked him, he never did want any part in Vitali & tbh I don't think he really wanted much to do with Wlad either. He simply talked his way into a big payday & is happy enough to retire with it.

He said himself he took on the more fragile, easier of the two brothers.

If he fights Vitali, there is a good chance he'll not be in a stable condition to spend his earnings.

but he obviously didn't want none
offered a HW title shot after a one sided loss and you quit?

he said he was retiring in october ages ago,its a shame he stood by his word, but he didnt duck anybody by doing so,he should fight Vit though but if he was too it would only be for the money which isnt a good reason

I think Haye retired mostly because Sky wasn't interested in putting that fight on PPV.

Nope I think you'll find he was due to retire. You'll also find that there was only a brief telephone call between the parties with no formal offer of another fight. You'll also find Haye provided Wlad his biggest payday of his career and will want 50/50 because of that if he is to come out of retirement and fight Vitali.

Haye knows he'd get it handed to him but it's not ducking if you had planned to retire.

Haye said the toe effected his performance. Nobody believes haye, and if haye does believe it, why dont he fight Vitali, to convince everyone including himself that he can do better. If he genuinely thinks he can do better, if given the opportunity why not?

Other than that, yes i would say haye is ducking vitali, because he thinks hes past it. But then dont blame the toe, and admit you arent good enough.

i don't think much of haye, but no he didn't duck vitali. He said he was gonna retire, and he did.

It's a ******ed decision, but giving his horrible showing against Wlad, maybe the best for his health.
