P-Will & Pavlik were good wins, I didn't take anything anyway from him in regards to those fights.

But Darren Barker over Pirog? Andy Lee and/or Macklin over Pirog? Nope, sorry can't do it.

And the "slightly unknown eastern european" comment completely went out the window the moment he signed to fight Darren Barker, who was a COMPLETELY unknown european fighter. Theory destroyed. Neeeeeeext!

      Again, keep dreaming.

Eventually reality is going to hit martinez/DiBella and they'll realize there is no where to go but Pirog. Or they can keep waiting around for the "big stars" which he wont get and next thing you know he's 38 years old.
know what you're talking about before posting man. macklin was offered a rematch but instead signed on a contract to fight in the US.

i assume martinez wants the wbc one more cause sulaiman, a hispanic like himself who he's been talking to a lot now is the head of the organization. he was also in talks about doing a contender like show in mexico that would put a wbc strap on the line for the winner. and it's chavez jr, son of a legend who can guarantee a huge paycheck here in the states on hbo. plus, just like arum and schaefer would want for their fighters, it's an easier fight with probably just as much reward, if not more since it's being broadcasted here and mexico.

he fought barker because his camp decided to take an easy fight after stopping dzinziruk. i forgot what video but sarmiento and lewkowicz said they were on a roll and wanted to take an easier challenge next time out, so they settled on barker. pirog was obviously seen as a tough fight, hence why they didn't take it. and lee was already shut down by hbo when proposed, just like zbik. macklin is on dibella promotion team now so obviously dibella would like to promote martinez against an irish, especially if it's setup around st. patty's day in nyc, where there's a somewhat large irish community. shit fight, i agree, but that's promoting for you. i'd rather see pirog, geale, sturm, or rubio instead of lee or macklin, but i have a feeling dibella will try one of those guys next if they don't jump on this pirog deal

He offered to fight him in GERMANY again where Macklin was robbed

That's the most ******ed logic I've heard in my life!

How about we call it how it is - Martinez wants the WBC belt because he knows Chavez jr. fuucking sucks ass and he'll destroy him. We don't need to sugar coat it or make some funny theory as to why he wants chavez.

Oh yeah because 154 pounder dzinziruk proved to be such a tough fight for Martinez! Yeah that was a brutal war! Oh wait no it wasn't! It was a one sided beat down! Next theory please!

pirog was obviously seen as a tough fight, hence why they didn't take it.
And that's why they'll pass on him this time too and instead go with an easier, in-house fight such as andy lee or macklin. This isn't rocket science. Pirog = tough fight. Could be more money, but hay, why take risks at this point when there are big fights on the horizon that will never happen such as pacquiao and floyd? I guess to dream is better than reality.

i'm not sugarcoating anything moron, that's why i said i assume. also i even put in there about how it's an easier fight. hate on him all you want, doesn't bother me, i'm just trying to give some different thoughts on why martinez is so hung up on the wbc when they've ****ed him over already.

Bringing out the name calling huh? Must have struck a nerve. Sorry I guess I'm the moron for not believing Martinez wants the WBC belt because Jose Sulaiman is a Hispanic. Oh wait he's actually fuucking Lebanese! Damn, I hate destroying your theories but it's just too easy!

haha. martinez is around the wbc, i've never seen him talk about or being around officials of other organizations, it's always the wbc. like i said before, he was even in talks about hosting a show that's set up by the wbc. anyways, i'm not claiming it to be his reason, i'm just giving out ideas, reason i said 'i assume'. i also said it's an easier fight, like you said, it's not rocket science. chavez jr is an easier fight with just about as a good a paycheck as pirog would be in russia, so why not take the easier fight. i mean it's not like he's the only one doing it or him and his promoter are the only ones with this mentality. i don't support it, but it's what happens. and i called you moron cause you think you're owning me or somehting, like i'm thinking about different theories 24/7 like i'm some dedicated fanboy out to protect every move martinez makes. him and his promoters can do whatever they want, i'm just a fan of his.
