I actually think Nonito Wins. He's just extremely mentally sharp. Also People think he is a lot smaller than he truly is. He is Just capable of getting down to the lower weights kind of how like paul williams was able to fight at 147. Nonito's technical skills, timing, and sharp shooting will overcome Gamboa's natural abilities. I think roach has got this all wrong. If anything it would be a close fight that I would love to see and I don't think nonito would have a problem with the weight. He might actually end up being bigger than Gamboa if he moves up.

i like nonito by tko mid to late. far superior technical boxing than gamboa. not as fast but equal power imo donaire will carry the weight very well. I think people will be shocked at how good he looks at higher weights. Ive been saying it for years, this guy is the truth.

Sorry but i dont see what people see in Gamboa. Imo hes has been made to look ordinary against ordinary fighters. Skills wins fights and i think donaire is better technically on every level. the only thing that debateable is power, everything else goes to donaire. Like a poster above said earlier, Gamboa is too agreesive and his defense is average at best. i think he gets counterpunched all night.

I think you have to be aggressive to beat donaire, gamboa is faster & more powerful IMO if he hurts donaire which he will its game over for donaire.

Depends on how Donaire carries the weight, but if they were the same size, Donaire would MURDER Gamboa. Roach is just butt-hurt that its widely agreed by experts that Donaire is TECHNICALLY SUPERIOR to the one fighter he ever made great his entire career, Manny Pacquiao.

And really, who here really thinks Gamboa is such a "smart" boxer? Gombao wins fights the same way Pacquiao wins fights; due to his superior athleticism and power. He's not just a brawler, but he's far from a smart/technical boxer....

Like I said, the outcome of the fight will depend largely on how Donaire carries the weight. But "hypothetically" if he carried the weight as well as he carries bantamweight, he would murder Gamboa... WITH THE LEFT HOOK... Gamboa's got short arms and throws punches depending on his speed and reflexes. He gets in close to Donaire, Donaire can land that same counter left hook he landed on Montiel for the same result.

gamboa defense will be a lot tighter for donaire. donaire's never dealt with the speed and power of someone like gamboa before. I'm sure no one donaire has fought has the kind of speed and power gamboa has, not even montiel

Gamboa is a highly skilled fighter, I think he would just be too big too strong for donaire (but then again everyone said the same about pac coming up). If they were naturally same weight it would be a 50/50 fight

People saying Pac was gonna get killed was against a 36 year old DLH who hadn't fought 147 in 10 years. This is Gamboa in his prime we're talking about.

Glad to see Roach is so confident. I like Gamboa in a match-up with Donaire, but "kill" isn't in my vocabulary. There's no telling what Nonito will look like coming up, good or bad. It may be a moot point, anyway; Yuri is moving up to 130 and beyond. The two may never meet.

ive been saying this for the longest. the two will not have a chance to meet anytime in the near future. its just totally improbable. its just arum getting ppl hyped about the two fighters.
