Gamboa is over aggressive. Over aggression vs Nonito = KTFO.

Gamboa would get starched. He'd come bum rushing in. Nonito would half step back and knock the pigmentation off his body with that ridiculously powerful left hook.

That is exactly how a fight between them would go.

Obviously if they fought @ 126 it would be in Gamboa's favor.
We have to see how well Donaire carries the weight. Just looking at him he looks like a thin man.
Skill wise, and p4p, Donaire definitely takes it.

Donaire is so much technically better than Gamboa. He'd expose him, in my opinion. Gamboa's beaten nobody, been floored by nobodies, his punches are flashy but inaccurate, unless rabbit-punching counts. I would bet Donaire stops him.

          Lol.

          Anyway I agree with Spray.

            I disagree.

I think Donaire could easily handle a move up in weight and i think he's all wrong for Gamboa.

Gamboa is awkward and has amazing hand speed and good power but he isn't very hard to hit and Donaire being the counter puncher he is, i could see him dropping Gamboa coming in.

Nonito's got a beautiful left hook, but I don't think he'll be knocking Yuri's pigmentation off with it. Gamboa has shown a desire and ability to be versatile in the ring. Yuri was once criticized for poor defense and he answered the call. In his last fight against Ponce De Leon, Gamboa demonstrated a different approach from his usual explosive style. If he and Donaire ever met, Yuri would almost certainly come with a game-plan designed for Nonito. Best of all, Gamboa has the talent and physical ability to execute whatever he wants.

My opinion: Yuri is probably a little too strong for Donaire. I believe that, in the end, that would make the difference. Both men are talented, skilled, fast and powerful. Something has to give.

Sorry but i dont see what people see in Gamboa. Imo hes has been made to look ordinary against ordinary fighters. Skills wins fights and i think donaire is better technically on every level. the only thing that debateable is power, everything else goes to donaire. Like a poster above said earlier, Gamboa is too agreesive and his defense is average at best. i think he gets counterpunched all night.

I actually think Nonito Wins. He's just extremely mentally sharp. Also People think he is a lot smaller than he truly is. He is Just capable of getting down to the lower weights kind of how like paul williams was able to fight at 147. Nonito's technical skills, timing, and sharp shooting will overcome Gamboa's natural abilities. I think roach has got this all wrong. If anything it would be a close fight that I would love to see and I don't think nonito would have a problem with the weight. He might actually end up being bigger than Gamboa if he moves up.

                    I can respect that.

Just that I don't see Gamboa all of a sudden changing his style from his overwhelming tactic.

I see it being just like Darchinyan and Montiel. Supposedly too strong and good for Nonito. Then gets starched ridiculously in a few rounds due to over-aggression.
