Is being undefeated becoming a bit easy to achieve?

    Chris john 45-0

    Julio Cesar Chaves 43-0

    et al....

And there are a lot more out there who have almost similar record. Is this more to managing the boxer skill,Rather than the boxer's skill?.

I'm guessing your dumb by the fact you have Chris John there.

    Remove him and carry on.

But yes, the magical ' 0 ' on a boxers record has become a promotional tool. It's a great selling point for casual fans as if I told a mate 40 people have tried and failed, they'd think that the boxer was very very good.

Normally the fighter is matched against a lot of journeymen and fringe contenders to increase their ranking with a respective sanctioning authority en route to an easy belt.

No that's very relevant if you compared the JMM fight with Mayweather, Chris John fought a young prime JMM!

I dont know any fans "expert" or casual who care about a fighter having a 0, if anything i think it makes a fighter open to criticism because people seems to think they havent stepped up.

Yes but its not usually the easy competition that gives them the 0. Its bulls*it decisions. I remember John Murray losing to an Ice cream man and got the nod. Havn't seen the fight but apparently Calzaghe got a gift against Reid.

The fact is these 0 guys that have been fed tomoto cans still get beat by them.

the "0" might not count as much anymore among casual fight fans since casual fight fans also watch MMA, and MMA fighters almost always have losses.

Yes but John isn't no padded up, media package being sold by a big promotional company. He's 42 - 0 because he can't fight good enough fighters to threaten his unbeaten record.

He's fought twice in America, both times against Juarez. Apart from that he fights all over Asia against decent opposition. Yordan is a good win for him but no one really wants to take the risk and bring him over to USA to match up against their fighter.
