How would you fight Floyd?

I'm a switch hitter. I can use either side equally well. My orthodox and southpaw stance are different styles. Orthodox being more willing to ****. My southpaw stance being more counter oriented and finess. Both hardly 'waste' energy.
To be honest. I don't know how I would fight Mayweather. Which is why I wouldn't mind fighting him. I want to see what it is like to see him slip and throw shots pin point accurate back. If I could spar him, I would. Even I did get my ass handed to me. Just for the experience.
I really like this answer as it shows me you have a very good understanding of boxing.Comment

I would use the jab from a distance and cut off the ring from him, and once he was cornered I would throw crazy wild punches, and wouldn't evne care if they were landing on his face, arms, shoulders, body, behind his head...I wouldn't care.
If anyone has watched Mayweather fights....the crowd goes nuts when anyone gets him on the ropes for a few seconds, even if the guy only lands 2-3 punches, while the rest completely miss or hit his arms or shoulders. But, the crowd goes nuts and it influences the judging a bit probably.
While we are at distance, I would jab to death and move side to side, with a lot of head movement.
That;s what I would do, in all honesty.
Your jab would have to amazing because if it's not he will use the pullcounter.
isn't this game plan a lot like Hatton tried? Though he did have some good success. The problem is Floyd is so intelligent in there & knows every trick in the book. I can only imagine how hard it is in there. Must really **** your head up missing so badly & being countered at will with stinging shots from out of nowhere. Hate him or love him he's a genius in the ring.
There is only thing I recall nobody ever trying against Floyd when he's trapped on those ropes & that is set him up for the uppercut. I believe Roy used this, setting it up with feints against Toney who also uses the philly shell defence against the ropes.Comment

And that is Floyds fault that Ortiz can't learn the first rule in boxing? Great old pro trick that many pro's have used over the years.
Ortiz hits Floyd with an illegal shot. Floyd replied with a legal shot! Sorry, forgot your *******s prefer watching fighters hug it out!
He jumped into that headbutt out of sheer desperation, that is one of the most disgusting things you could ever do in a boxing match. If I was Floyd I would of knee'd him in the bollocks when he went for the hug, dirty pr1ck.
If anything Floyd deserves props for staying professional after that disgusting incident. Many fighters would of completely lost their cool.Comment

Floyd isn't open for those at all due to how good his defense isYour jab would have to amazing because if it's not he will use the pullcounter.

you can count how many uppers have landed on him throughout his career with just one handComment

depends on what your style is
everybody can't fight him the same way
if you have reach over him, keep your shots long
operate behind the long 1-2 at all times
if not, get in his chest and target body punches
use the jab to get in, not to try to land it
keep him at ring perimeter to limit his movement
gonna get countered no matter what you do, so you need a chin
and you need 12 rd stamina, if you tire against him, you're fuckedComment
