    How would you fight Floyd?

what would your game plan be?

After reading the post of ''overwhelm him with offence, non stop pressure'' & me falling off my chair laughing thinking to myself ''thank **** you aren't my trainer''
It did lead me to think how would you beat him?

So what your gameplan be? I think realistically to have any chance what so ever you are going to need more than 1 game plan because as soon as he adapts you'll be left with ****, simply put.

So tell us what you would do & i'll read them when I get back from my shower

Best answer will win a prize.

here's my crappy evaluation that i posted in the history section
in regards to getting past the shoulder roll anyway, but when he switches to the conventional guard, everything will be much easier

and there's the roy jones route, winding the right hand in his face and throwing a left i.e fienting, outhinking
jones also neutralized toney's shoulder roll by making toney the aggressor i.e counter punching

there's also throwing a right hook left hook combo to the body
pretty much guanranteed to turn thier back into the right

I would honestly not joking.. I would load my gloves if the chance presented itself and throw as many punches as I can hoping at least one would land. I just want to mess him up, not even win. Just **** that beach up.

IF I had to fight legit, I would fight similar to how Oscar fought him. Only I would use the jab way more and jab him in the shoulder like Oscar did a few times. I think the jab would be the key difference between me and Oscars fight, I would probably lay him flat on the ground in 8 rounds or less because of my power. I am pretty strong and fast and smarter I think.

I'm a switch hitter. I can use either side equally well. My orthodox and southpaw stance are different styles. Orthodox being more willing to ****. My southpaw stance being more counter oriented and finess. Both hardly 'waste' energy.

To be honest. I don't know how I would fight Mayweather. Which is why I wouldn't mind fighting him. I want to see what it is like to see him slip and throw shots pin point accurate back. If I could spar him, I would. Even I did get my ass handed to me. Just for the experience.

I would use the jab from a distance and cut off the ring from him, and once he was cornered I would throw crazy wild punches, and wouldn't evne care if they were landing on his face, arms, shoulders, body, behind his head...I wouldn't care.

If anyone has watched Mayweather fights....the crowd goes nuts when anyone gets him on the ropes for a few seconds, even if the guy only lands 2-3 punches, while the rest completely miss or hit his arms or shoulders. But, the crowd goes nuts and it influences the judging a bit probably.

While we are at distance, I would jab to death and move side to side, with a lot of head movement.

That;s what I would do, in all honesty.

depends on how athletic you are and what your style is.

Things you definitely should not to do against floyd:

              1) box with floyd (don't bother unless you are 'nard hopkins)
              2) let down your guard (you might get suckerpunched)
              3) allow floyd to dictate the pace (don't let him get in his rhythym)
              4) go straight back (always exit the pocket at an angle)
              5) head hunt (mix up the attack)
              6) follow floyd around the ring (you will get setup for a trap)
              7) get sloppy with your technique (absolute no no)

if you avoid doing these 7 things, you will make it harder for floyd to dominate you.

I fight southpaw so I would use my jab a lot with my reach advantage to keep him at bay. Then when I jab him to the ropes I would feint to get him to throw his straight right, then counter with a right or a left then back off unless he was hurt. I would definately use a lot of feints. I would also feint with the right jab and then then throw a right hook to the body then a right upstairs, I would then know his counter is coming, dip that and throw the upper cut. in the clinch i would work the body then go upstairs with an uppercut. then go back to using my jab then repeat from the start except in a different order since after a couple times he would adapt. I would do all that but mix it up ever time.

The only way I can fight, that is keep my head down and turn on the switch on the human windmill.
