I guess I'm technically from America, but I was actually born in Pakistan. . . My pops worked for the embassy so every two years or so we moved to a different country. . . spent the most time in Pakistan so I feel a very strong connection with the country and the people. . .
It's funny because people used to say the exact same thing about Basketball back in the early 2000's. There was all this talk about how great these Eastern Euro's are and how they're going to take over Basketball because they're 7ft+ Centers that were as athletic as Shooting Guards and they actually know the fundamentals of the game.
They even used the whole "Soviet's couldn't turn pro till the 1990's" excuse.
And guess what? Almost all of them ended up a flop. There hasn't been many great Eastern Europeans in the NBA.

OneChane - Mexican boxers I also feel a strong connection with! Lol I'd like to be able to claim Mexican heritage - but being an honorary is good enough
