There's no doubt. My biggest concern for Gamboa is that he might very well be too small to fight at 135. It's not impossible that he be good enough -- far from it -- but the question mark is definitely there. If Yuri can climb to the top at LW, then he truly is a special fighter.

      no time to be honest

I actually like Mitchell and I think he got a bad rep based on the katsidis fight

But Brandon has Dec 3rd against Murray then either wait for Gamboa or unify with the DeMarco/Linares winner

      that's the plan before 140

Gamboa hasn't even had a fight at super feather yet, has he? Why is everyone so impatient to get him up to lightweight?

I think most people, myself included, regard 130 as fairly barren. The belief is that Gamboa will have little trouble at that weight, and that 135 is where he'll encounter real resistance.

I just think it's dangerous to rush these things. Not every fighter is Manny Pacquiao or Roy Jones; weight climbing is hard. Plus, if you gain the weight properly, it can be a ***** to move back down if you find that you've bitten off more than you can chew. I'd just hate to see him stranded in a division where he was too small, or being forced to yo-yo in weight, because that always takes its toll.
