This whole Hopkins hating is pretty silly.
Like him or not, he dominated the Middleweight division for 10 years, made 20 defenses, and lost so few rounds in that time you could count them on two hands.
You don't dominate for that long without being a great fighter.
The title of this thread may be disagreeable to some, but Hopkins is without a doubt a top 10 all time Middleweight.Comment

Look at the FACTS and LEARN:
In 1998 Hopkins TKOed Simon Brown. Where the **** were Ray Leonard and Jake La Motta then? I bet they were off ****ting it somewhere.

I probably only piss about in, say, 60% of Hopkins thread at mosts. With you and the Klits it's a full-time job.Comment

You down playing one of the greatest middleweights of all time is comepletely without merit.
Seriously, like him or not, there's no denying Hopkins is a top ten middleweight of all time.Comment

And anyone who disagress with Hopkins being a top ten middleweight would be in a very small minority.
Your argument agaisnt it is very weak.
Hagler and Monzon fought a lot of meidocre fighters because of the lenght of time they elected to stay at Middleweight. In these cases, it's about longevity and consistency.
You say Tito and Delahoya were blown up middleweights.
Need I remind you that so where Duran, Hearns, and Leonard, all who Hagler fought?
There's nothing wrong with a great big fighter beating a great small fighters.
Again, Hopkins dominated the middlewieght division for ten straight years, breaking the record for defenses. That puts him in some very exclusive company, and shows how consistant he was.
Trying to down play that and calling him "lucky to be in the top 15" sounds pretty jaded to me.
Make a poll.
It would be overwhlemingly in favor of Hopking being a top ten, with top 5 coming in 2nd.
There's a reason why that's the popular opinion.Comment
