I'm glad to say I saw such legend in my lifetime and was able to enjoy his fights. They just don't make them like him all too often. A rare treat for boxing fans, love him or hate him his fight were simply action packed and thrillers.

My all time favorite fighter. If every era had a Tito Trinidad. Then boxing would be much more enjoyable.

Remember when Mosley beat Oscar twice and then went on face Vernon Forrest?

He was SUPPOSED to face Trinidad next if I'm not mistaken.

However, Tito had moved up, he lost to Bernard Hopkins, and Mosley on the other side lost twice to Vernon Forrest in back-to-back matches.

They should've done that fight as soon as Mosley beat Oscar in their first meeting and matched Mosley/Trinidad in a battle at 154.

                Charisma.

                Power.

Those are two of them, and a big two at that. The pride of Cupey Alto, Puerto Rico, Felix “Tito” Trinidad was one of boxing’s brightest stars in the 1990s and early 2000s. Power and charisma were part of his stock in trade. The sky appeared the limit…until it came crashing down.

September 11, 2001, shook the world on a grand scale. On a much smaller one, it pushed a highly anticipated Middleweight Championship unification, scheduled for New York City’s Madison Square Garden, back from it’s originally intended date of September 15 to September 29. The results in the ring indicated date was no matter.

                Felix Trinidad met Bernard Hopkins.

And for all intents and purposes, Trinidad was done.

Has it really been ten years?

Just days past the anniversary of that fantastic encounter, and just over a week out from Bernard Hopkins’ latest attempt at mocking Father Time, the time is ripe to look back on the man who gave that legend flower, at the height of a fistic legend all his own. titos left hooks where beautiful especially against mayorga and vargas in his fights with them they were brutal to watch, watching some of the left hooks tito landed on vargas made my jaw hurt, tito had a great career and was then taken down by bernard the left hook couldnt work in that fight yes it has been ten years feels pretty long indeed alot has changed, ten years later tito is retired and gone and bernard is still top of his game how weird right?

I am glad and honored to have seen Trinidad fight during my life time. If we had more like him now boxing would be even more greater.
We never heard of possible drug use, PEDs, ducking, cherry picking, weight issues, new belts for fights,Pre Madonna crap...just great fights

Triniwraps was a fraud. His best win was a robbery against DLH.Funny how he was "shot" after he got caught using illegal wraps. The same people that believe that Tony has been using wraps all his career because he lost against Mosley and Pacquiao since he got caught, need to take a look at Pito's record after he got caught. How can anyone be sure that all of wins are not tainted?
Anyone who is a fan of his and labels Margarito a "cheat" is a hypocrite.
