So if Pride lost it's TV contract then is it fair for fighters to lose out?

i dont think the japanese government cares. they are more concerned with rooting out a 1000 year old organized crime entity. kinda hard to be mad at them for that. the yakuza clans are very powerful.

I agree with Dempsey. Japanese don't want anything to do with the yakuza. You know they are serious when you can't even enter buildings when you have alot of tattoos.

Oh I certainly understand the power of organized crime there, I'm a little educated on it.

I'm just saying that is not fair to the fighters or promoters putting on the show if some gangsters buy ringside tickets and they are penalized from it. How can they have any control over who buys tickets or shows up to a prizefight?

I understand they are trying to root it out, but that seems a bit harsh to me, too much iron fist which as we know hurts the people, business, etc.

Those are some pretty harsh rules, some dudes are watching a fight and they go to the fighters gym to see if they were involved with them being there.

I guess that is being through and maybe they had reason to believe they were involved with their presence.

If they were involved it doesn't seem like they will be able to stay in Japan, I guess we will see how it works out.

if they applied these rules in the US, then Team Mayweather would pretty much be disolved

well some of the biggest promoters are involved in crime, either direct or indirect, either they pull a fast one when reporting their numbers to IRS (in the US or have links to criminal gangs, some are obvious (like Arena in Germany, the infamous Oner) and others are trying to hide it
