Chavez is relentless and on top of his game right now. If Barrera does not come with his "A" game I could see him losing this fight. I wouldn't be surprised. Chavez is bigger, stronger and brings a lot of pressure. I see Barrera becoming frustrated and reverting to his usual dirty tactics when he starts to feel at a disadvantage. Remember Pacquiao.
Barrera Vs Chavez is signed, no Barros fight!

He landed almost exactly the same number of shots as did Floyd.Originally posted by ImSoFlyyyChavez didnt land and his corner called the fight OFF because their fighter didnt want to be embarassed any more on TV.
And the fight was stopped because of the damage Mayweather's more accurate punches had done to Chavez, not because they were embarassed. That's silly.
But again, to say it was a blow out and not competitve is outright wrong.Comment

Hah, I'd say the towel was thrown for Gatti and Corrales because they were getting murdered viciously and didn't want to see them to get even further ****ed up.Originally posted by ImSoFlyyyThats why Corrales', Chavez and Gatti's corner gave up and threw in the towel.Comment

true, but the fight was still a competitive one, but it didnt show it in the end result, like the white sox series or floyds augustus fightOriginally posted by ImSoFlyyyProlly through 2 1/2 times as many punches too.
floyd was winning clearly on the cards, but floyd himself called it the toughest fight of his career. it was a very competitive fight, but the cards didnt show it
i know what your trying to say thoughComment

Exactly. Boxrec jumps on every rumor and word on the street. There was an article on ringtalk that even some of the fighters' records in boxrec were not accurate.Originally posted by TyrantT316you guys need to stop going by the speculative boxrec...wait until sites like Boxingscene, *********, or Max Boxing post official wordComment

Finally Barrera's getting the BIG fights again!
I wish the fight happened a bit earlier around January or February...so he could fight Pac sooner..
Finally, I been waiting for Barrera to fight a well known fighter...JESUS CHAVEZ! Tough, game opponent.
