Floyd beats Martinez I think. Martinez would most likely come in between 160-165 in fight night. Floyd would come in at 150 on fight night. Ortiz weighed 164 lbs and he walked Ortiz down, who has more power than Martinez does. Martinez is quicker and more skilled, but doesn't fight the style that troubles Floyd. Floyd would most likely have trouble feeling him out, like he did the first 2 rounds against Ortiz, but the people that have success against Floyd are bigger guys who can man handle him and get him on the ropes continually. Martinez usually keeps his distance and pops in and out, much like what Floyd can do.

Floyd would beat Martinez, via decision. Don't be surprised if that fight happens next. Dibella said he has big news about Sergio to announce in the next couple weeks. There have been rumors that Mayweather is thinking about fighting Martinez. If Floyd beats Martinez at 154, I wonder what Pacquiao fans will say next.

Funny how they were calling manny a midget compare to Floyd and now Floyd and manny is basically the same size lol..

I'm tired of reading how everyone should feel sorry for Hatton, or that he had 'limited' boxing skills. Yes, he got brutally knocked out in what would become his last ever fight, but the man had a very good career and only lost to the two greatest fighters of the modern era, both future hall of famers, and a case could be made for BOTH to be considered the greatest fighter of all time.

Hatton was more outclassed by Floyd than Pacquiao. Hatton was a different fighter against Floyd, he had the confidence to beat him, he had his regular team and trainer, he still had good punch resistance, hell, if Cortez had let Ricky fight Floyd on the inside instead of persistantely breaking them up every time Hatton got within his reach (not to mention unfairly docking a point) the fight could have gone the distance. Against Pacquiao he was a different fighter- Extremely incompetent trainer, confidence had gone, punch resistance had gone (see first two knockdowns- he used to walk through those shots), and his style had been compromised due to trying to change bad habits after the floyd fight. He came out himself after the fight and said he knew he wasn't in the right frame of mind to fight Pac, and he'd had a terrible training camp, so just went all-out to hit him with a big shot early.

Hatton should be applauded for a great career, great fights, and the man never ducked anybody. A true warrior, and genuine nice guy.

As for Floyd v Martinez..... Sorry, I'm still not convinced by Martinez, and the outcome would be similar to Floyd v Oscar- Floyd will lean back and let Martinez come to him, letting the shots hit thin air, while peppering Martinez on the counter, then after Floyd wins by decision, everyone will think Martinez was robbed because he had him against the ropes frequently. Martinez going up in weight to fight the winner of the super six tournament- that makes more sense.

You hope. But don't know that until the fight takes place

Oh nm, those fights will never happen.

            Floyd won't take those fights.

"It appears unlikely that Floyd will fight Pacquiao at this point..."

Where the *^%# did he come up with that conclusion. Pac just agreed to full testing, so wouldnt their clash be more likely than before?

Floyd Sr is already irrelevant to boxing. He can't even come to Manchester cause people will lynch him...

Both Martinez and Pacquiao will knockout Floyd the reason why he will not fight them..

Floyd will never fight Manny cause he's afraid and will always give excuses. Pac beats him everyday...

Floyd is in the histoy books, but he will be more respected if he beats Sergio at 160.

If he beats Sergio at 154, people would say Sergio would beat Floyd at 160. So maybe floyd should fight Sergio at 160 and if he wins, people can also assume hed beat Sergio at 154 as well. Kills 2 birds with one stone.
