the thing is, the fight was on at that point. Ortiz made the decision to go in and touch gloves and he believed Mayweather wouldn't do that but he did but at that point, the fight was on already.

So based on that rule - and after reviewing what Ortiz did and what Floyd did, who's side do you think the commission would be in favor of?

The actions of Mayweather there are clear, he could have hit Ortiz before the embrace, but he nodded his head moved in as to embrace him then nailed him.

if GBP had a strong attorney, which we know they have the money to get one, and pressed for this I beleive that they would win, I beleive they would be in favor of Ortiz regardless of the headbutt, why is that? Cortez did his job took a point, Ortiz apologized several times.

at that point Justice was served, then you have this foul, and clearly if you have a set of eyes, after reading this here from Nevadas rules, you know now that it was a foul.

The commisson would have to do something perhaps an NC, if GBP really went out to persue this, and the commisson ignored it or rejected it, they can then take their case to the state govenors office, and Kaizer will be done.

Which he should be, ever sine Marc Ratner left to the MMA scene this **** has been getting worse and worse, I mean think about it, Roger Mayweather jumps in the ring and starts a riot over a foul?

Whats happening here, is the commisson is allowing the Mayweathers to consistantly violate their own rules, the rules that are governed by the state.
        it shouldnt be that way.

The thing is, Floyd always talks about how he needs a "fair fight" with Manny,

yet, he can't even be fair in the ones hes already in.

Cheated Marquez on the scales and paid a measly 600 gs.
Elbows everywhere. Sucker punches. Avoiding year round random testing.

Roger Mayweather jumping into the ring comes to mind.

That is grounds for an automatic dq.

And Floyd says everyone is biased against him.

            lol

Check out Nevadas list of fouls I posted on page 4 and regarding Roger jumping in the ring, even Commissioner Larry Hazard said he should have been DQ'd and had they fought in NY he would have been

"The reality is that Mayweather's KO punches - the left hook and right cross - came because of Ortiz's fouls"

Sure Floyd did it in retaliation ... lol! .... but we have proof that Floyd would have done it either way IF GIVEN THE CHANCE .... example, the Gatti fight and the Mosley fight ... Floyd did the same but neither one fouled like Ortiz did!

Floyd wants a fair fight except when his opponents are the ones on the receiving end of an unsportsmanlike punch from Floyd. Then its OK! lol!

All you guys need to stop justifying Mayweather BS tactics. While headbutts are part of the game and yet dirty. A full 1, 2 punch combo on a guy who is not looking is dangerous. Most of you talk about Ortiz's foul as if Mayweather had his hands tied begind his back. Yet for some reason you guys give a pass to Mayweather. Maybe it was within the rules but there are many things within the rules fighters just don't do. Like Swing while you touch gloves in the 1st and final bell. Or hit a guy when he gets tangled on the ropes. Ortiz was penalized by the time the cheap shot came.
Justifying Mayweather reminds me of when a thief gets caught inside a house and his argument is, "the window was open". Like it's some invitation.
The people who agree with Floyd are the same type of people who would take your shoes and go though your pockets instead of calling for help if they saw you laying on the street.

De La Hoya have no shame. He should've thought about this twice before opening his mouth to the public - especially after all the controversy surrounding his personal life. The damage control done by him and Arellano is so embarrassing. They know they screwed up, Ortiz too, and now they're trying to rescue Ortiz' career that's left in shambles. I hope this clown doesn't get any PPV-fights in the future. Put him on BAD.

Great article. Now, what's left is to convince these no knowledgeable users on this board that the outcome of the fight would have been the same wether the headbutt occurred or not: Mayweather's 42nd win.
