I love all this talk about Martinez being overrated.

Lol at the bold. Homie there is no use and going back and forth on this topic. We are just going to have to agree to disagree.

idrk why martinez even wants to go down for a fight with either pac or floyd. weight drained boxers have not usually performed very well. if he's really in for the glory and not money i see it kinda weird. are there really no other options?

He's too big. I don't blame Pac or Floyd for not fighting him.

Pacman going 12 against a shot 40 year old Mosley was not a pfp performance.

Why did Floyd resort to 2 cheap shots in a fairly competitive fight against a 24 year old?

I hope that 1 of those #1 & 2 decide to grow some nutts & meat Martinez at 154 to see what's really up.

Ps. Darren Barker was clearly a better fighter than we all thought. Give the man some credit, instead of trying to discredit Martinez.
Just ignore this butthurt *******s,*****s and cotto stans.. all you have to do is see who those posters favourite fighter are and then you would see why they are attacking Martinez.

            Martinez overrated????

That's an insult...the man deserves to be where he is at. He's probably the most legit P4P fighter IMO...

And, again everyone is overrated including Pac and underrated including Martinez. It all depends on who's doing the rating.
              I can accept these terms.

Exactly. I don't know why they feel so threatened.

I don't think that Martinez is overrated but you kinda just answered the question. Neither of the guys want this fight at 154 and I don't blame them. Martinez doesen't want a fight at a higher weight either. Why should they go up while he doesn't want to go up himself. He said so himself last night. Floyd and manny have gone up enough as far as I am concerned.

Martinez did get found out in that he's obviously vulnerable against good conventional boxers who are disciplined. Doesen't mean that I'm not a fan.

                    Martinez is a great fighter!

I don't think he is being ducked by those guys, what I think is that he is way to much of a risk for the money he would generate. They could fight less quality opponents and make more money with little risk! Remember this is a business and they gotta look out for themselves first! I would love to see those fights but first Martinez has to get a bigger fan base to draw more money! Instead of fighting Barker he should have fought either Andy Lee, Dmitry Pirog or Mathew Macklin those guys would have made more of a buzz for him!

So should we be disappointed in martinez for last nights performance or surprised in how well Barker fought ?? as i am confused
End of the day i thought martinez would starch Barker in 4-5 rounds but in the first few rounds i see martinez getting out boxed and beat and bloodied up with the Jab !
