Looked like a temple shot, those can really shake up one's equilibrium. It took a monumental effort from Cunningham to get up and stand straight to show the referee he was able to continue.

a real ten count? a count is done by the referee and he beat the refs count. it's never exactly ten seconds and if you see on the timer he went down at 36 and his gloves were off the canvas before 26 hits.

Once again, we're in agreement. Stupendous physical and mental effort on the part of USS....

Yea a slow a55 ten count that was about 14 seconds long. Judah did the same thing against Tszyu and the fight was waived off. Long count as far as I'm concerned and Cunningham is way overrated. He lost easily and is just making sour g****s over it. If he gets a rematch great but nobody should take anything away from Hernandez. He did a hell of a job against the odds.

Basically people are saying the fight should have been stopped early for no reason whatsoever. I really don't understand this mentality, do people not wish to see a conclusive fight?
Sure they want to see a conclusive fight but if it had to be stopped at that time, Hernandez deserved the win. Not even a question about it.

I counted myself when the ref was supposed to start and it was ten seconds when Cunningham got up the 2nd time staggered as hell. We all have an opinion. I'm not saying you are definitely wrong, that's just the way I see it.

I think it was indeed a long count, but I also agree with Steve when he says they stopped the fight to take his title. I think Cunningham was already dominating the fight and Hernandez was getting really tired. IMO Cunningham would have been able to win the fight on points, but we'll never know.

Counts do not have to be 10 seconds exactly, I mean I know there is a limit and if it takes 20 or half a minute there will be plenty of talk but Hernandez gets nothing from me and no respect as a champion after mentally folding up and letting his corner save him from being on the receiving end of a further beating.
