Comments Thread For: DiBella Further Rips Arum: Mayweather Left To Be a Star!

Like a combination puncher waiting until he was sure his veteran opponent was vulernable, combative promoter Lou DiBella's vituperative response to rival Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank, went far beyond defending his handling of middleweight champion Sergio Martinez.

Lou is right I remember floyd fighting on HBO and not a lot of sold out arenas under Top Rank. Mayweather would perform good and all Larry Merchant would say is floyd their's a lot of empty seats here floyd. So I guess the old man never really did give Mayweather his just do. All Mayweather said was hey thats the promotor job my job is to win in the ring.

It always cracks me up how Floyd got over on Arum, Arum was paying Floyd way more than he was worth and never got to see the payback phase.

Must suck to be Harvard educated and be the smartest man in the room only to get out foxed by a fighter who isn't that smart.

Just dessert if you ask me~

First of all the question is why do people watching boxing? They do because is fun and exciting.

It's hard to promote someone who doesn't bring excitement in the ring.

Floyd only became PPV material when he beat Oscar. People watch him on the excitement to see his azz lose. He's not an exciting fighter.
