I'm getting tired of him calling out Pac, Floyd, and Cotto. He's fighting who this Saturday? C'mon there are better opponents in his weightclass than Barker.

Cotto says its about MONEY not size, with that being said..how come he fought Yuri Foreman...put it like this, everyone knows Martinez puts a massive asswhooping to them.

It's very hard to be a fan of Martinez, if you support Pacman, Floyd & Cotto, because he's prepared to father those guys so the fans must defend them while the fighters themselves cower away somewhere.

Exactly, the reason why Sergio is so hated is because you got Pac fans, Mayweather fans and Cotto fans defending there heros.

You would think they would push them to be better and fight better fights.

Basically Sergio is the NEW villain of boxing.

such a humble & nice guy, never in a dull fight & unlike 99% of todays boxers he is willing to fight anybody for pennies. He is a real prizefighter in it for the glory YET he still gets a lot of stick from idiots expecting him to basically fight big super-middleweights.

You got to love a guy that is on top of his game & saying screw the weight limits, I am willing to go down 6-7lbs or even up & i'll fight anybody.

Massive respect to Darren Barker, just about the only guy out there willing to give it a go.

A paper champion at it's finest who's only good win was against a Goldenboy hypejob in Daniel Jacobs who was still green & would likely smash him in a rematch.
Barkers done just as much in the pro ranks as Pirog, he also battered Pirog in the amateurs.
Sergio, Barker & Golovkin would murder him. I'd be amazed if he could even squeak past Sturm, Macklin or Chavez Jr.

Barker is not a bum, he was a very good amateur who only lost a handful of fights & everyone he lost to is a now a top tier fighter. He has worked himself up the hard way winning the Commonwealth & European titles & now has a world title shot.
He undefeated, skilled, fast & technically a very good fighter that is extremely underrated.

The guy was out for over a year due to being attacked, he came back & destroyed Spada who is a very dangerous European who's only losses was very questionable & against Oral & Zbik x2 (I felt he beat Zbik in 1 & Oral certainly got a hometown decision) Spada pushed Zbik all the way twice so he is no bum IMO
Barker could of taken a much easier fight but he never & he boxed his ears off.
You'll find out how underrated Barker is tomorrow.

Dancov - man i used to like sergio a lot until he started playing the same game that everybody else does, yet still trying to pretend like he's different. . . he will criticize other boxers who won't fight him because he doesn't bring enough to the table, yet when somebody else wants to fight him, he won't fight because "THEY don't bring enough to the table". . . he's playing the same "risk/reward game" all the promotors play. . . now, I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT, and barker is a lot better than I tihnk he is - and i hope he ENDS sergio! or at least knocks him down a peg or two. . . sergio is acting like a DAMN DIVA and he's only been fighting on the top level for TWO YEARS!

That's not quite true. He didn't fight Pirog for pennies did he? Pirog is a legit fight but his team and Promoter said that Pirog was a nobody. But Darren ****ing Barker is a somebody? Spare me that bs. Martinez would beat Pirog too imo. It is a more legit fight than Barker so as a fan I want that fight.

Barker may be a hidden gem. When cintron fought sergio everyone said " who is sergio".. when Vargas fought winky everyone said " who is winky? ". This is boxing man, deal with it. Truth is, everyone said " who the **** is Macklin" and gutted Sturm for taking the fight.... and guess what? sturm got a gift.

No one knew who teh **** Pirog was. He only had like 13 fights or some **** going into the Jacobs bout and was like 32 -34 years old already. How does a guy so old have such few fights, and he's beaten nobody of note. Now look.. now all of a sudden " Sergio has to fight Pirog! "

I hope that youre right (i think this fight doest past 5 rounds tbh), but if you compare Barker with Pirog (not saying that Pirog is great) youre insane and biased......Pirog is the right fight for Sergio.......he will win easily(i think) so i dont understand why he doesnt fight him..........and please dont tell me that Pirog is a bum, because the conversation will end........Later.
