Does Mayweather go back to "moving" against Pacquiao or does he "stay in the pocket"?

and no , shane does not have better footwork but he is a better offensive fighter than floyd and even him did not dare try to fight pac's game.
Shane is nowhere near the Offensive fighter that Floyd is. He just chooses to be more offensive but there overall talent level on offense still favors Floyd by alot. If Floyd wanted to fight as Offensive as Shane then he would consistently look way better then Shane at doing so

      and carpe diem...

not sayin floyd cant win at all..but im sayin that floyd fighting pac at close range like he did ortiz is the ****tiest strtegy to use vs pacquaio ..box and move is where he can outpoint pac but he needs to work on his workrate....

I honestly think he's the most versatile Offensive fighter out there but he just doesnt always have that mindset. Still, name 1 thing he cant do? He's the only fighter out there that can throw every punch in the book. He's got a stiff jab, is great in the pocket, has a check hook, jabs to the body, killer straight right, is good at working the body, etc....

You underrate Floyd way more then people overrate him. His offense is far better then you give him credit for. Not only that but he's the #1 ranked most accurate fighter in the history of the sport but his O isnt special? Come on man. He throws double jabs, he finished N'Dou with 3 straight righs, he can throw leaping hooks, & so on

            what do you think?
Fair enough, but, i really thought he was gonna be more aggressive against Juanita. I'd go with the Juanita fight as the last time we saw Wifebeater using the entire ring, moreso in his last two fights.

guys like him a Pea really did it with torso movement, hand and arm placement and reflexes/anticipation

the Ortiz fight they showed how Floyd punched split seconds before Ortiz did because he knew what and when Ortiz was throwing
Wifebeater's jab, and especially his left elbow are really a deterrent to his opponents attack.

I don't think people realize how much that f**kin' elbow is bothersome, lol. Add to that his upper body movement. Once he gets that elbow in place and his right arm wrapped around you like a vice-grip, it's a wrap. Wifebeater lately is basically this, gets that single punch in followed up by an elbow and clinch, rinse and repeat.

It's crazy how he's able to pick up on the subtle movements his opponent makes and feeds off of it. It's like he's the one punching first, when really he's just countering. He's so quick to see the smallest of openings and act on it.

Back to the thread topic. In reality, I think Wifebeater is gonna mix it up a bit, a lil movin' and standin' in the pocket, . However, he's much better off staying on his toes and movin' around poppin' that jab to set up that right straight. It's no secret, PAC has the most difficult time with fighters who move and potshot.

Stayin' in the pocket, as good as Wifebeater is, will only give PAC more chances. Wifebeater on the inside is similar to James Toney but w/ elbows and more clinching. haha.

In a way i kinda agree with Roach's analysis of the current version of Wifebeater between Hatton and now. It's like, Wifebeater relies more on stalling via elbows and clinching. Which makes him even more boring now compared to before.

Well sure as hell floyd cant do what he did against ortiz, I mean ortiz was hitting him pretty clean in the second and fourth round(before the headbutt), and pacman is MUCH faster, a lot smarter, and alot more patient. I see him being very defensive.

i hnoeslty think you are seeing things about floyd that are not there....the only thing that floyd does that is exeptional (offensivewise)..is the lead right hand.......his counterpunching skills is way overrarted too, altho i admit his counter right straight is the best in the game(imo),but he does'nt do much else....who does not look good vs mediocre fighters?...**** , floyd looked like sugar ray robinson vs gatti man....

What you dont understand is just how good an infighter Floyd really is , he will tie Pac in knots and mug him while doing it , he is physically stronger and a little bigger , Floyd has Pacs measure in close and at range the only hard part about the fight for Floyd is actually having Pac sign the contract .

Any fighter can be offensive or defensive in a giving situation but it doesn't mean you excel both. Floyd is defensive genius and Pac is a offensive monster. If Floyd goes offensive against Pacquiao, Pac will ko him but it won't happen anyway because once Floyd goes offensive and tasted Pac punching power, he will revert back to where he is good at....boxing defensively.
