Here's the thing. If Floyd wants to be liked and appreciated then he has to tone down his attitude BUT with that said. I remember when Floyd wasn't so outspoken and was a lil more humble but I think the main reason people hate Floyd is mainly because he hasn't lost yet and their is always someone out there people say can beat him but when he beats them, they give him no credit. How can Bert Sugar say that Floyd never wanted a fight with Manny Pacquiao when Pac was the one who walked away from the first and only official negotiations? Could this be true what Jeff Mayweather is saying? Alex Ariza (Manny Pacquiao's strengthening coach) says behind the scenes "We're not taking no tests"?. In my opinion the whole Manny pacquiao agreed to taking the tests is nonsense considering they always have an excuse not to. I don't think that the fight is going to happen.

After Jrs fight with JMM he had a good time rest, Pac had just had a good fight and Jr jumps him for a fight which would NOT allow Pac a time of recuperation to the nervous system that EVERY FIGHTER NEEDS. JR knew this,, I remember this was OUTSTANDING and thought Pac is crazy if he fights so soon. Wasn't it COTTO he fought ? ****** UP EAR and all, so JR tried to take advantage.

Scary I actually fully agree with this post and would have to co~sign it. I actually appreciated Floyd until he started taking softer competition and frankly when he was spouting how great he was, that he was the greatest ever, I started to just get annoyed with the man.

Unlike other Floyd-haters, it wasn't because I thought he was boring (I actually appreciate his skills) but I thought for him to say he was the greatest ever and taking on who he did after his gig in the 130's weight range, it honestly didn't sit well with me. I mean really, greatest ever and he chose not to face a Mosley as a welterweight nor Cotto? I can look past Margarito at least in hindsight. But definitely not the other 2; Baldomir and Judah and Hatton were never the same competition as those 2.

And even before any of this **** began, everyone knew Floyd would want the mental age, no one doubted it a sec. Do I think Floyd will ever fight Pac? I think the closest he will ever get is face Khan but otherwise no. I also think Floyd's legacy requires him beating Pac more than vice versa. I mean Floyd kind of pushed the issue calling himself greatest ever and frankly his last several opponents weren't that great (and one had no business as a welterweight). And while Pac's may not have been the greatest either, I also have to take into account that he doesn't go around saying he's the greatest ever (so yea the bar for being judged goes down a bit) and while Clottey was a boring fight he was the only decent contender around outside Berto. And people have to get it in their heads that Pac is a welterweight and shouldn't campaign any higher. All this talk about Sergio or others like Pwill were silly to begin with.

It'd be nice if Floyd just takes a fight and does so without the smoke screen, the psychological warfare and such; people just want to sit back and watch this fight. I don't think, as others called it, a "smokescreen to hype the fight", I think Floyd just doesn't want it. A fight with Pac is the biggest threat for Floyd and I'm 50/50 on who'd win. I think Floyd would have to dig deeper than ever before to win and its something he hasn't done in ages. I think Castillo fight 1 was the last time I saw him really dig deep.

All of the racial insults, all of the attacking media over Pac, all of the "Pac has to follow what I say" to get a fight and what not, yea it really makes me question this fight ever materializing. Floyd is a great fighter an such but I don't care to pay for his PPV's in a longtime unless its Pac. Pairing him with fighters to "sell tickets" is getting old, I can see them pairing him with Saul Alvarez even for the money...

Are you serious? So you are seriously disregarding Manny Pacquiao's many stipulations and weight handicaps? Pac told Arum after Cotto struggled with Clottey that he wanted to fight him and STILL demanded a catchweight in a division he fought there already without one. Margarito came back after a year of suspension, fought a no name (looked bad while doing it) and STILL fought him at a catchweight for a vacant title. Shane was coming off of a horrible draw with Mora after he got beat up by Floyd. I mean, I can understand people being upset with Floyd and all but come on. To act like Pac is doing better is ludicrous. Floyd came back after a year lay off and fought JMM (The man Pac went to hell and back with) and made it look easy at a catchweight that Pac is not fighting the guy at? JMM needed the catchweight against Floyd because Floyd is bigger but Pac? You guys are bugging how yxou praise Pac and act totally blind to what he has done late in his career.
