You have Ezzard Charles in your top five, Ruben? Interesting...I'm actually surprised more than one person rates him that high.

I don't consider myself knowledgeable enough to have a legitimate top five list -- I know a lot more about some ATGs than others -- but it seems to me that there are just too many P4P greats that should supplant Ezzard in the top five rankings.

For what it's worth here are my top five:

1- Robinson
2- Armstrong
3- Pep
4- Louis
5- Duran

Greb, Langford, Gans and Benny Leonard all consistently rate very high on P4P lists; I just don't know enough about them to include them in my own. A very strong argument could be made for Ali and I might very well be inclined to replace either Louis or Duran with his name.

True statement. You'll always see guys like Robinson (usually in first) and Armstrong. What makes these discussions interesting are the one or two very personal choices that people throw in.
