But, that's the price he paid.
I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned yet that when a fighter goes down, whether it's a KD or a slip, the ref is supposed to wipe the gloves of the fallen fighter and then PUT THE FIGHTERS BACK INTO ACTION. Obviously, Garcia went to a neutral corner, and then was waiting for the ref to put them back into action. Forrest, instead of waiting for the ref to say "box", runs over to Garcia and hits him when he isn't looking. Very unsportsmanlike.

Can no one else see in the gif that that senile ****ing ref was trying to stop Forrest at the last minute? I'm sorry, but there is a reason why you can't turn a fighter or position yourself behind him and then throw punches, because you're not supposed to hit your opponent when he isn't facing you. It's not like he was hurting Garcia and Garcia turned his back on Forrest, Forrest slipped and went down. While the ref was waiving it off, calling it a slip, Forrest gets up, sees Garcia not looking at him, and runs across the ring in order to hit him before he sees Forrest. The ref, in all his haze, probably didn't think Forrest would pull some coward ass **** like that, but obviously Forrest isn't the fighter I thought he was. I honestly don't think the ref realized what Forrest was doing until the last minute, that's why he didn't try to separate them until it was too late.
Bottom line, IMO the ref should have paid more attention and taken charge, and Forrest, well he'll always be a ***** for that ****.

It really doesnt matter because Forrest was still going to win the fight in the scorecards with a minute left.

pretty messed up, the ref. is to blame in that fight. Though I don't believe that Forrest was in the right in what he did, that wasn't illegal.

I just saw this clip and after repeated viewings it looks like either Forrest's Right Hook or wild left swing that everyone is saying missed, knocked Garcia wobbly. Look at his legs as he takes a 'stroll'. He's chicken dancing. He watches Forrest the whole time but just seems out of it. He might have been unable to defend himself. He's looking and he's in the ring. I think he was already busted. The mistake compounded it but I think he was already stunned.
