You look at the video. Have you ever watched boxing? The ref didn't do his job because even of a slip, you have to check the fighter and the gloves, etc etc. Where was Garcia walking? I don't know, around the block? The ref is even following Forrest to probably whipe the gloves when forrest suddenly clocks him. The look on the refs face as he rules no knockdown shows it all. He realized he ****ed up and cost Garcia to get knocked out.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not defending Garcia since I definately think he broke boxing's #1 rule. But if boxing's other rules had been followed he'd have been fine.

Also, if you'll look at the gif just as Forrest hits the mat. He points his hand with his finger out as if to say "1" in the count, then he realized he ****ed up and waved it off.

okay, I'll accept that the ref screwed up. But, ultimately I still blame Garcia for getting himself knocked out. He looks over at Forrest and then back at the ground. WTF?

I think I'd have done something similar, which is kinda why I feal sympathetic towards him somewhat. He looks over, sees the ref with the "1" symbol out, puts his eyes on the mat and starts to gather his thoughts for a second. THe next thing he knows he's been floored. I am curious as to where he was walking though. Maybe he saw something shiny.

When i saw that live it made sense to me.

Forrest fell fairly close to him,he was walking to a corner on the opposite side,Ive seen that before, fighters go to the nearest corner, and the ref will waive that fighter off to a further one so he dosent jump on the fighter before due time.

Fighters are supposed to go to a neutral corner though. He was heading toward the red corner, which was either his corner or Forrest's corner. He was already in a neutral corner, so he wouldn't have been heading toward the other neutral corner, which Forrest was closer to than he was. He probably just wasn't thinking. But, that's the price he paid.

Wow that looked like Jack Johnson vs Ketchel. Only Johnson was really knocked down.

Forrest knew the ref called it a slip, and jumped up and came at Garcia who wasn't looking and had his hands down. Forrest landed two huge hooks and Garcia crumbled. The Ref waived the fight off without a count.

                  Your thoughts?

i dunno, it looks like the ref started counting, and when garcia tried to get up, he saw that he was clearly out and waived the fight. i saw two instances where the ref was counting.

                  was garcia winning the fight???

from the clip, it clearly looked like a slip, garcia should have been at least looking in forests general direction when he was down.
                  that sucks for him though

I don't see why the ****** ****ing ref waived the fight off! It was the tenth round and Garcia doesn't look out to me, he looks pissed off! That ref should be banned from boxing! Just like at a persons job, you **** up bad and you get canned!

OMG, this has been discussed more than once and no, there was absolutely nothing controversial about Forrest's win
