hahahaha, sorry Rick...it was amazing, though...what I left out, though LOL, is the part (true story) where he stopped in the middle of it and said,"What? You called me (N word)???" I guess he thought I was too young to now the old routine he used to do with white guys, usually with Cosell...but I knew it and I said, "No, I said TRIGGER"" LOL and I got a great photo of Ali doubled over in laughter...I know I really caught him off guard with that one...it was a great moment...

Ran into Roberto Duran twice at the Cotto-Pac weigh in. The second time we got an usher to take a pic of him, my boys, and me. He had a digital camera and couldn't work it because he said he was too much of an "indio" lol. My friend handed it to me because I'm good with electronics but I didn't have time to do anything because he got mauled right away... He laughed when I handed it back to him and said I had the same problem he did.

I met Duran at Pazienza's last career fight and he took a pic with me but when I tried to conversate with him he pretended he didnt know english LOL...I know he knows english, one of his former opponents told me they hung out after their fight and he spoke in english just fine LOL!!

I've heard so many stories about Duran over the years. You can tell, even in his interviews, he's just a special person...larger than life.

This isn't my own story, but my cousin's: He used to eat often at "Victor's Cafe", a famous Cuban restaurant in midtown Manhattan. There was a time when Roberto was a regular at "Victor's". My cousin hung out with Duran one night. Roberto told him to go ahead and punch him in the stomach, that it wouldn't hurt him. (Apparently, this was a little stunt Duran liked to pull.) My cousin declined...said he "didn't have the heart." lol I think he was more afraid of what Roberto's reaction might be.

I know a kid here where I live who walked right upto Tyson's house in Farmington one day and asked for Mike...the first guy told him to leave but another guy came over and asked him what was up...my boy told them how he is an amateur boxer and loves Mike etc etc...the guy went and called Mike over and not only was Mike EXTREMELY cool with him but invited him to go grab some food at the BBQ in the backyard that was going on at that very moment...and when the kid went back there it was Salt N' Pepa among others, hanging out, eating BBQ...TRUE STORY...
