There was no elbows!!! He just got frustrated he couldn't land anything solid. He said the headbutt was an accident and now it was payback for elbows. Come on man. Then again, maybe he's still semi unconious!!!!!

Also sticking your elbow out to defend is NOT fouling, swinging it is. The only one who broke the rules was Ortiz.
He's a real boxer he's got a punching bag and gloves.....Wait, I guess that makes me a boxer too now.

I agree with some of the posts. If he was hit first then why kiss, hug, kiss, touch gloves, then kiss again? Ask for a rematch, take a slight paycut and get revenge...or at least try! First stop the BS Victor.

please ... how many different versions is Ortiz going to give? -- is he angling for a rematch? -- that would be a waste of time -- the fight lasted long enough to conclusively demonstrate that MW is a MUCH BETTER fighter than Ortiz, period.... they should both move on....

            Its sad.

Then all of a sudden, Cortez is counting out. its true that u should protect your self at all times but how long does it take to tell the judges to deduct a point? also Ortiz wasnt even made during the interview. Strange, no? it seems kinda bull**** to me. No doubt Mayweather is 1 of the best fighter around and is one of the boxers that is keeping the sport alive, along with paqcuiao, but it does suck to see him win like that. everyone made money, cortez got a cut, promoters definitely made theirs, everyone is happy. THE END...
by re-watching what happened at the end of the fight in SLOW-MOTION a hundred times this would make sense. in real time, it happens in a blink. no excuse for Victor to lash out with the butt, and no excuse for him to stand there and pay more attention to the ref than to Floyd who is engaging him.

and now the elbows issue, guess what. Garcia is the one who brought it up knowing he could use it as an excuse for their own dirty tactics, and now for their embarrassing loss. im done with Team Ortiz for the moment.

I didn't see one single elbow from Mayweather. He held victor whenever Victor tried to get inside, but he didn't use his elbows. This is a load of ****. Victor just wants another 2 million dollar payday. If he was smart, he'd try and capitalize on his new stardom and fight a bunch of bouts for decent pay and then cash out again in another mega-fight. If he fights Floyd again, his career is over.

What a liar, I guess this will probably lead to a rematch.

Mute point that fight was won and lost at the weight in.
When ortiz allowed may to put his hand around his throat without retaliation he knew he had this kid in way over his head.
If ortiz had clocked him square in the mouth then guarenteed that fight plays out completly different.
Floyd would of come out less agressive and cautious with full respect.
It also would of given ortiz the confidence and shown he had that same fire and desire he showed against berto.
But if that were the case he wouldn't of been ortiz and wouldn't of been chosen
Floyd knew he posed no threat that's why he was chosen

Honestly, it was so great to see Victor thrust his head into Floyds face. I would've loved to see it again and again.

Its too bad he didn't get to do it more. I don't even think it landed clean. Which is sad.
