So the question is who's the "UGLY"?

As in the Clint Eastwood movie: "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly!"

You don't tell the fighters to fight then turn your attention elsewhere. You address the timekeepers 1st then instruct the fighters to fight. That way all bases are covered & your attention is on the fighters, period.

Some people then claim your hating on Floyd because the fight was bad. Ortiz was wrong, Cortez was wrong & Floyd was as classless as ever in the most expensive fight the sport has endured.

Yep. Noticed that right away as well.

And Steward was sitting ringside. If everything was on the up and up, why did he sound like that?

        Oh well.

If Vic and his team doesn't want to appeal it, then that's on them. It's been pretty telling how out of their league they've been acting. I guess that's how overmatched they've felt; before, during, and after the fight. They can't even find themselves to get slightly upset. Practically the whole arena was on Vic's side and waiting for him to show how mad he was and wanted to continue fighting, but instead he just smiled and basically showed that he was content with his millions.

That's fine, can't blame a man for striking it rich. However, when he does eventually decide to look for where he dropped the little warrior's credibility he gained from the Berto fight, all he has to do is watch the replay and see that he lost it in front of the camera, while standing next to Merchant and showing that he was just happy to be there.

It says he SIGNALED the fight with his HANDS

Thread title is misleading just to create a firestorm again

Floyd ruined the fight with a suckerpunch. And then his ego got in the way, the guys an idiot and is ruining the sport.

I think a lot of people will stop watching him fight anymore, and lets hope his black ass is sent to prison, where it belongs.

This is BS!!! First he needs to verbally instruct the fighters. Why do refs yell break, why don't they just make a hand signals to break the fighters??? Why was he counting out loud he could have just made hand signals??? Why have a bell at the end of the round, and to start rounds just use hand signals??? But, what I can't understand for the life in me is if you started the fight WHY ARE YOU NOT LOOKING AT THE FIGHT??????? I've heard of no look passes in basketball but have yet to see no look officiating!!! Ortiz could have head-butted again, Mayweather could have kicked Ortiz in the balls as payback, Manny could have ran in the ring and hit Floyd with a chair like wrestling and he wouldn't have known because like the wrestling refs when I was a kid he wasn't looking. All REFS be it NBA, NFL, or MLB are looking at the action when they call time in... This guy should admit he F'ed Up, he's human and move on. But trying to convince people what they saw wasn't what they saw is ******... If you truely started the fight WHY IN THE HELL WEREN'T YOU LOOKING AT IT TO DO YOUR JOB???!!!! Unless you a an And-One ref doing no look ref'n' like Shake'n'Bake threw no look passes....

After Ortiz used his head, intentionally, on Mayweather, Cortez took Ortiz to the center of the ring and took away a point. Ortiz, looking to apologize, walked over to give Mayweather a hug, and within a split moment Mayweather would land two punches on a defenseless Ortiz to score a knockout. During video replays, Cortez was shown looking at the timekeeper's table and stating "time in."

The article says he SIGNALED them to go on... I can't tell if he said anything with the exception of let's go - but he signaled them like every referee does... the fight was ON...

Cortez should retire or be forcibly retired. He ****ed up yet again and his memory seems to be leaving him.

BOOM!! The Truth shall set you free!! His conscious was probably killing him, he screwed up that fight majorly! Only a blind man would think Cortez was right! I think he should retire and remove himself from the sport. his services are no longer needed!
