Wow, cortez can referee fights without looking at the action? He dont even know what put Ortiz down so how can he count him out?
He should have deducted points from Floyd or apologize and admit he didnt see what happened, for his lack of concentration and give Ortiz time to recover.

Rewatch the fight, cortez clearly says let's go and gives the hand gesture not once but twice, learn some reading comprehension. And dude who said ortiz was coming on your clearly ******ed, landing 2 punches out of a 8-9 punch flurry, which doesn't hurt Floyd as he blocks and rolls, proceeds to smile in ortiz face, dodge a right, block a left, then got headbutted. Ortiz got outlanded 27-9 in round 4, 73-26 overall and did not land one single jab out of 31 thrown, there is hardly a case to suggest he was coming on in the fight, aside from his right eye swelling, and its a known fact, Floyd only gets better as the fight goes on. So get your eyes check and get some boxing knowledge and get the **** over it .

No if it was Kenny Bayless or any other ref he wouldve
1) sent Floyd to opposite corner
2) take a point away from Ortiz
3) send Ortiz to opposite of Floyd
4) Told Time keeper "time in"
5) went to center of the ring and said "BOX or FIGHT"

I dont know what 'lets go" means, it could mean anything, especially when you let 2 fighters wander around and hug each other while you got your back turned around.


oh also, there was 8 seconds left in the round when Ortiz headbutted him, how was round not finished if he called time in?

Yeah, I like Kenny Bayless as a ref. Cortez I think is a lil too past it but I feel Ortiz caused the mayhem because up until the head butt. Cortez was doing fine. and what's up with all these Pac fans jocking hard what happened? It's a done deal. Whatever damage that has been done is done, so get over it. Seems like Pac supporters are bigger *****'s than Floyd's fans are.

If it was that good than I don't think Cortez would be looking somewhere else.

Cortez looked at the time keeper to ensure that time was in. He even says "Is the time in?". The audio is clear and not muffled. You should be able to hear it clearly.

Dude Cortez just said he never instructed them to fight. That's why he was looking at the time keeper.

Watch the fight. Come back here and tell me that he didn't:

A) Said "Time in"
B) Said "Let's go"
C) Waved them in
