Is anyone a fan of Floyd the Person?

He is a great boxer and I'm not a Pacquiao fanatic, but from all that I've read and seen the guy is far from a class act. I can't really understand why people go crazy for the guy. When he fights I do root for him to lose (not that I expect it), but I really do believe it could be good for him. It would probably humble the guy.

If you are a huge fan of Floyd can you please enlighten to me as why you root for him with such passion?

I think his character in boxing is great. It's a persona and it has done him well. I find it interesting and very entertaining.

He doesn't do drugs and he loves and takes care of his kids. Floyd also has foundations and boxing clubs for children. He's a good person out of the ring.

I am definately not a fan of him as a person, but that may in fact just be a character he portrays to be the villain of boxing, but it seems to work well for him. I think he comes off as kind of an arrogant guy, but lets face it he is a master boxer. Even if you don't like him you still have to respect the mans skillset, otherwise your just a hater.

I use to be a big fan of Ric Flair, Razor Ramon and Eddie Guerrero when I was younger.

Bad guys are more interesting than good guys IMO.

Charles Barkley is more interesting than Tim Duncan.

I'm not a fan of Floyd the person but as a fighter I greatly respect his skills. He may be a good person with good qualities but his bad qualities greatly outshine his good ones. IMO he has a temper problem and need to be loved.

He is a really fantastic boxer, but his personality is not among his best points.

He actually does a lot of good things outside of the ring... but he doesn't talk much about it and it doesn't get covered as much by the media...

We all have our faults who am I to judge... I'm not perfect and I don't expect Mayweather to be perfect... but it's a long list... I mean it doesn't matter who it is: Ali was a womanizer and was unfaithful... Sugar Ray Robinson beat up his own wife... Sugar Ray Leonard was unfaithful and did ******* as much as I know... De La Hoya just recently camed out - Calzaghe, Hatton did ******* too... the list goes on and on... even Manny as I heard was unfaithful to his wife... so I mean as good as everyone has something in their closet...

Floyd is not a bad person... he is just seen extreme and he gives himself many times really extreme - because it sells... but he isn't a bad person as far as I know and heard of him...

Well, there are the allegations that he threatened his kids, so we'll see how it turns out. Also, if you have six lawsuits against you you are probably doing something wrong. Not saying he is guilty, but he is at least surrounding himself with some bad people it would seem.
