Most will support Pacquaio but I myself will be pulling for Floyd. IMO, Floyds skills to me are more pleasing. No he doesn't always score the big kayo but he is a defensive wizard and almost makes every opponent look like an amateur. I've seen big punchers like Manny before. Don't get me wrong, he's a cut above the typical big puncher but I've seen it before. It has been a long time since I seen a defensive wizard like Floyd. They really don't grow on trees.

Also, unlike majority of people, I can separate in the ring and out of the ring issues. I got my life to worry about and couldn't give two ****s about how a fighter acts outside of the ring.

Was Floyd always hated in America?

When did the tide turn against him?

Well, judging by all the comments on ESPN, Yahoo, NSB, and just about any messageboard on the subject of Floyd I'd have to go with Pac. Going into the fight with Ortiz plenty of Americans already hated Floyd. Looking at how he won the fight only added fuel to the fire.

Floyd is a certified villain in their eyes. Going into the fight Pac would be looked upon as the hero who can finally defeat him. Makes me wonder just how broken hearted they'll be if Pac doesn't win.

a celebrity like pacquiao is no longer viewed as foreigner in the center of the world called usa. he can be referred to as a citizen of the world similar to celebrities such as tom cruise, brad pitt, celine dione, jordan, etc. same thing could be said of floyd if he's outside of the usa.

if this fight happens, i really don't care who americans support. it should be a celebration of some sort no matter who wins or lose. i for one won't support either one, believe it or not. fact that it's happening is already a big plus to the sport. or i should say i'd support both if the fight happens.

People love to hate Mayweather but in America he's one of few boxers who are mainstream stars. Like him or not everytime he steps into the ring people get interested and that's the most important thing.

Regarding who America will support. Impossible to answer that question. I mean america is a meltingpot and not a ****geneous country. What kind of americans are we talking about here? I'm sure most black americans are rooting for Floyd.
