Lederman ought to be put out to pasture w/Merchant, both have lost repsect, comptency (lederman was only an average judge in nyc)...all they do is get big $$ frm hbo...put some of the latinos frm espm on hbo...they know boxing and do a better job xpressing it....right Larry!!!???

Hello there Ug. Sorry I didn't reply to you sooner, just switched back on now. Yes, I saw the fight, and it seemed to have been turning into a good scrap as it progressed. The butt was nasty, and deservedly cost Ortiz a point, but the retaliation was in my opinion worse. There was no need for retaliation. If Mayweather had retaliated immediately after the headbutt I could understand his motive, and perhaps even feel that Ortiz deserved it. But Cortez had already taken care of this.

It seemd to me-anyway- that Mayweather, with his super reflexes, immediately assessed the situation, saw that Cortez wasn't watching, and took advantage. It was a cheap way to win and very unsporting, not in the spirit of boxing as it's supposed to be. Ortiz may have felt that he deserved the first punch which wasn't hard, but was taken completely by surprise by the second. Cheap.

I think that Cortez, should have realized that he had lost control of the fight, and called a halt with 5 minutes to recover. That would also have served the boxing public better. I'm sorry for those who paid nearly $70 for such a mess. You may not agree with me, and I think I've seen a post of your's somewhere, but that's my opinion.

The sad thing is that BOTH Ortiz and Mayweather showed their complete lack of maturity after the fight. BOTH were smiling like idiots!!! Ortiz's immaturity makes sense coz of his age. But Floyd!! He had his arm around Merchant smiling and started promoting himself like nothing happened!! Then when he heard the wave of BOOs from the crowd, he completely went ballistic and took it out on Merchant!!! That made no sense coz Merchant wasn't in the middle of saying how Floyd was controlling the fight and being more aggressive, etc.

That's the problem with Floyd. The only time he is truly authentic is when he acts like a SPOILED BRAT! He looks so uncomfortable when he's acting any other way. It's all daddy issues, I'm telling you!

Floyd will never gain the sympathy that Tyson received because the huge difference between the two is that Mike is always genuine!! Mike possessed both good and bad to the extreme and people of all races saw it and saw themselves.

But one thing people can't stand is spoiled b****! What kind of idiot does a online tour of his luxury home live for soldiers in Afghanistan??? WTF?? These guys are in the desert risking their lives and Floyd is acting like a child bragging about his toys!! SMH

Why does he walk around with so many (even any?) bodyguards. The likes of Cotto, Judah etc don't have any. He must be paranoid or something.
